Best time in October

What is the best time in October to visit the parks? We previously went at the end of September in 2014 and it was hot, humid and very rainy. We are shooting for an October 2017 trip next year and was curious on what time of the month is best. Right now we are tentatively looking at October 14-21st.

October is busy all month, but definitely avoid Columbus Day and Halloween.

There are some weeks in October that are rated among the top ten weeks to visit WDW throughout the year. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, this seems to be changing this year. Meh. Anyway, you can Google it - I think EasyWDW lists/ranks weeks and there are a couple Oct ones on there.
