Best time for universal?

Early June should be better than mid- or late- June I would think. The earlier the better. Has anyone been in early- mid- October? Like the second week of October?

I was there the thrid week of Oct. this last year. It was a week and a half after Columbus Day. Wait times were resonable everywhere except WWOHP where we saw waits for the shops and FJ was up to 70 minutes. I was surprised just how crowded it was. Reports on the HP thread the weeks before found it pretty empty, but things really started picking up Columbus Day weekend and didn't slack off that much by the time we got there. You might want to check that thread and go back to October. I didn't post, but agreed with those that did. You'll find more detailed info there.

Since October at Universal means HHN, the crowds will get heavier for the Studios in the afternoons when HHN is staged...usually around 3:30pm or so. IOA will remain crowded for WWoHP but you shouldn't have any real issues doing what you want.

We went Oct 23-29 to disney and crowd level was light. Friends went to Universal and Sea World and it was light as well
