Best Time for Stingray at Castaway Cay? ?

They have 9, 10, 12, 1, 2 & 3 available. I've read some people say 10 is too early, but I'm thinking the ship docks around 8 since they have a 9? Would 10 be OK in that case? I've read it's quite a trek down there. Don't want to do 12 as it's right at lunch time. 1 is an option as well..

We've always done the first one, water is clear, stingrays are hungry and that leaves plenty of time to relax afterward before heading to lunch.

We just did the 9 a couple of weeks ago. Knowing what I know now, I think any time would be fine - and, I would probably personally do the 3. Really, whatever fits in with your schedule will be good.

I did 11 am back in June, and I'm glad I did, because the storm of the century hit just as I was snorkeling with the rays after the feeding. Morning times appear to be best because the rays are hungry.

My husband and 6 year old son just did it a couple of weeks ago at 10am. It was fine and we aren't early risers. They rushed a little at breakfast but that's bc my son woke up at 8. I didn't find it to be too much of a trek and i walked over to meet them with a 2 yr old. It was great for them to do it early bc then we didn't have to split up the rest of the day.

We did the 10am and I'm glad I picked that time. We were able to do that excursion and have plenty of beach time afterwards. I felt 9am was too early and I was afraid if I did a later excursion then my kids wouldn't want to leave the beach or be too hot to enjoy the excursion. Have fun!

We do the 9. First to get it done and have the rest of day to relax, second crystal clear water, third they seem to come over a lot so I guess they are more hungry.

Thanks! For some reason every time I chose 10 it would then tell me it was now unavailable, but continued showing it each time. 11 did pop up as available so we got the 11.

i have only done it later in the day and we were there with maybe 4 other people. It was nice but I almost lost a knuckle. Those beasts are vicious

Our first cruise I booked the very last time slot. We got rained out. I would suggest first thing because if it is going to it is usually in the afternoon.

Depends on how fast they run (and unless they have changed it, they require participants to be at least either 10 or 12)... And if they want to clean up before or let the ocean do the cleaning.

The 5K is the first thing. So theoretically it could be done in under 30 minutes (or faster). Depends on how long it takes you.
