Best time for Fantasyland?

Ok so we'll only be in Disney for 6 days (only 4 of them are full days as we're arriving/departing on the other two). I have 5 day park hoppers that I'm going ot upgrade to 6 days when we arrive.

Almost every time I've been to Disney, the lines for the rides in Fantasyland are really long. Our plan for our MK day is to get breakfast at Kona at 8 am, park opens at 9, stay there all day, lunch at CP at 2:40, and we'll also be at MVMCP that night so we will probably be in the park until midnight. No, I'm not crazy but it's just me (22) and Dbf (25) and our endurance/excitment/lack of kids can keep us going for that long.

When is the best time for me to ride the rides in Fantasyland without having to wait very long? During MVMCP I want to see the fairies/princesses/Mickey and watch the 2nd parade and fireworks so I don't know if it would be enough time to wait for these. This will be on Dec 16th btw. I have a subscription for Touring Plans, I just haven't had the time to expore or read everything.

The rides I'm interested in are:
Snow White
Peter Pan
Winnie the Pooh
It's a Small World
Mickey's PhilharMagic
Tea Cups (if I can get Dbf to ride with me)

First thing in the early morning.

When the rope drops, head for the Tea Cups.

Then, do Pooh and Pan.

After that, the rest will be a piece of cake during the rest of the morning.


(BTW, I usually say "Dumbo first," but you didn't mention the little guy.)

Go directly to Fantasy Land when the park opens and you should get on all of those w/o a wait

Thanks! Do you think this will adversely impact wait times for Splash/BTMRR/Haunted Mansion? I know I can grabe a FP for Splash or BTMRR and ride the other one while I wait for it to kick in...

From previous experience, Peter Pan is always the one that has the biggest wait time. We're here now but crowds are low and most of those rides were walk on-zero wait time. We hit the party last night, and if you're going to be there all day, I would say either ride Fantasy Land rides in the am when you get there, or wait until evening when the first parade is going on. A lot of people cleared out after Holiday Wishes, then even more after the second parade. So if you can hold out that long, that would be my best advice.

Of course, you never know what the crowds will hold, truly, so go with a loose plan then adjust once you're there! Have a great time, enjoy it!

Splash and BTM are not really the "must do first" attractions that they have been in the past.

I find that on many early mornings they don't even uncover the FP machines until later in the day.
But if the parks are super busy that day, most attractions will have lines formed after 30 or so minutes into the day.

Sooooo.... you have to decide the priorities for YOU on a given day.

As much as I'd like to... I can't go on EVERYTHING "first."

I heard on touring plans the 14-20th are all 3s and 4s for crowd levels... If that truly is the case I don't think it will matter much when you hit fantasy land... I would only try to avoid it from like 11- 4... but even so the only two of those whose lines seem to get long are Pan and Pooh...

Do Fantasyland first! When it's busy, they add extra logs to Splash and you can FP both that and BTMRR. When my kids were little, we hit Fantasyland first. Did Dumbo, Pan, Pooh, etc and rode tea cups right before hitting rope line for Toontown. After Toontown went straight for Splash/BTMRR. I find that area doesn't get overly busy before 11:30am because people don't want to get wet early in the day.

As others have said, do Fantasyland first thing in the morning. All of the attractions are fairly close together so you can really make good time if you beat the crowds here. Save It's a Small World and Mickey's Philharmagic until the end of your Fantasyland tour as they will take a good bit of time and will allow the crowds to catch up to you.

I would do fantasyland first as well. The rides there are slower to load than SM and BTM. We were there in October and the crwods were fairly low (4's and 5's on touring plans) and Peter Pan was one of the few things that did have a line. We walked on SM and BTM. One day of our trip was noticably hotter than the others and on that day the line for SM was pretty long, but I don't know if you'll have that problem in December. We were also able to ride a lot of things the night we went to MNSSHP between 4-7 before the party started. People who aren't going to the party and don't have hoppers might be avoiding MK too, so it might be slower than you think.

I'd agree with everyone else - first thing! Peter Pan and Dumbo (although you didn't mention him) generally seem to have the longest line, so I'd go to those ones ASAP.
