We're going in July and want to do the Fantasmic! Dinner Pkg at Hollywood & Vine. The show is at 9 that night. Would it be best to do dinner at 6 or 7 or split the difference and go with 6:30?

We aren't spending that day at DHS, just coming over for dinner, Fantasmic! and whatever we find to fill the time in between.

I would go with 6:00 pm. I'd typically allow about 60-75 minutes for in-park meals (this gives you a little cushion in case they're running late in terms of seating, etc.). Then allow about 15 minutes to walk to the Fantasmic venue (it's not that far, but who wants to rush?). So that's 90 minutes. They typically advise guests to arrive 45-30 minutes early (even with the package); you can cut it closer but at some point (15 minutes I think), they open up the seating area to anyone. So the minimum amount of time I'd allow is 120 minutes. This assumes most everything is going your way and there are no issues/delays.

I think you could get away with 6:30 pm, but if the restaurant is running late in seating, I'd hate to spend the meal looking at my watch. I'd rather have some extra time to walk over to Fantasmic rather than be late.

I had the same question. This was very helpful, thank you! :thumbsup2

Thank you for the help. I was able to get a 6 pm ADR. Looking forward to it. We haven't been able to get in to see Fantasmic! since 2003.
