We will be spending 7nts on-site at Disney but want to try Universal for the first time. I know about the great deals on the 5-day pass and annual passes, but since we are staying closer to Disney I think we will spend most of our days at Disney and 2-3 at Universal depending on how we like it. We have 4 year old and 1 year old sons and aren't sure how much we will be able to do there with them. So do you think that the best option would be to buy a 3 day (non-expiring pass), use 2-3 days this trip and if we have a day left over we can use it next time? The best price I have found on that one is $105 adults/$95 kids. Does anyone know of anything better? Or is it better just to buy the 5 day pass and not use any of the days we won't be using. I'm leaning towards the non-expiring pass, then that way if we get there and my 4 year old prefers Disney, then we can use the remaining day(s) on a future trip when he's older. Thanks!

Hi madelyn,

I think you should go with the non expiring 3 day. Just be careful...many offers available now that give you the third day free DO expire one week after first use. Here is a site that has some information on discounted passes.

I know you cant get the 2-3 day at Universals website but you can at the gate and you can also show your AAA or Fan Club Card for a discount. Good Luck!Mousesavers

If you check ticketmania.com they have the 2 day + 1 free day (they all have to be used within 7 days though) for $92/adult and $80/kid. If you belong to Sams Club they have a travel section on their web site and their cost for the same ticket is $87/adult and $75/kid.

I recently bought a 2 day on UnderCoverTourist. Now they offer a 2 + 1 day free for the same price :)

It does have to be used within 7 consectuive days though. There is also a 5 day pass (same price as 2+1) for the same price, but it exoires in only 5 days, and I for one will not visit universal for more than 3 days total.

I would suggest the 2+1 coz it gives 3 days over a period of 7 days.

More convenient, even though less days for same money.

Smartypants,
Thanks for posting about Under Cover Tourist. I was thinking about buying the 3-day non-expiring pass through Paramount, but the 3-day (to be used in 7 days) at Under Cover Tourist would save us $61 (2 adult and 1 child). I may have to go that route. I was thinking about only using 2 days of the 3 day non-expiring pass and saving the last day for another trip. But to save $61 I might just get the tickets you got.
