Best Tickets for Feb?

We are heading out next year (last week of Feb) and it will be the first time ds and dd have been and the first time visiting for dh and myself since the early nineties.

We would like to do 1 day in each park US and IOA (possibly more if needed) and will probably want The fast passes (unless it won't be needed.

Can anyone possibly suggest the best tickets for us to get (ds and dd are both under 10)? I gave read about staying on site for 1 night as an option but wasn't sure whether this would be cheaper than buying the tickets?

The best way to determine whether fast passes would be needed would be- 1. check the online crowd calendar, and 2. check the going rate for the express pass thru universal. anything cheap (like $45) would indicate low crowds. if you want or need express pass, I highly recommend a one night stay. You get Two days of express pass for one night of hotel charge.

You should always wait until you arrive before buying Express Plus passes. EPs are non-refundable and park/date specific. February isn't a busy time so I doubt you would need them. You can purchase EPs at either park.
