Best thing you have ever bought for less than $100?

Ok, taking it about a dollar or two over $100. My Benchmade pocket knives. Mini Griptillian and mini Freek.

I might be a city boy now but you can't take the country out of me. Never leave the house without one.

I will add that when my kids were little it was so nice to have a blade on me to cut and open all of those insanely packaged toys during Christmas and birthdays

At right around $100, my Thermopen is the best kitchen gadget I own. It takes an accurate temp reading in one second. I use it all the time for cooking meats, getting liquids to the right temp, carmel, etc. I honestly use it several times a week. No more overcooking meat!

The automatic feeder for the cat. Best $29.95 ever spent! She isn't waking us up EVERY morning before 6, and isn't CONSTANTLY begging for food.

I think most recently it would be a piece of carry on luggage I got a Home Goods a little over a year ago. Can't recall the brand but it's been a little work horse in allowing me to experiment with the concept of 'carry on only'.

I checked and it's now $119.00, but it was around a hundred when we bought our Aquapurr cat fountain. We turned our his and her bathroom sinks into cat and human ones. My two cats LOVE it. I will say my son is staying with us, and his 2 cats can't seem to pick up the concept. It's a motion activated fountain--perfect for cats who like fountains but the water is fresher and there are no filters or cleaning necessary.

I want to say our Amazon Alexa, but I think she was more than $100 when we got her.

I would be inclined to agree with a previous poster that said the air fryer. We use that thing WAY more than we thought we would.

Service for 8 of Dansk flatware with teak handles at my neighborhood thrift store for $20 about 20 years ago. I then found a 2nd set of the same pattern on FB Marketplace, full set of service for 12 for $25 about 3 years ago. One of my favorite thrift purchases ever.

This is the pattern, I would not pay eBay prices though and this listing is missing the serving spoons:

My kindle paperwhite, I bought a refurbed one on amazon, it was about $75. I always said i would never buy an e-reader, I loved paper books too much... then the pandemic happened and our library closed. I took out the max amount of books i could, but i still read them all before the library reopened. I decided I hated the thought of BUYING actual books more than the e-reader so I decided to give it a shot.

Life changing! I dont think I can go back to paper books now (but I still visit the library and B&N to add titles to my tbr list!)

I might have to get one. I tend to overdo chicken. Food poisoning vs slightly tough meat…vs…food thermometer. lol. Game changer.
It really is a gamechanger!

I have a friend who always overcooks her meat. No matter what she cooks it has the consistency of leather. I'd buy her one if I didn't think she'd be insulted.

Properly cooked chicken, pork, even burgers is amazing.

Long ago I lived in downtown Brooklyn and at the time there were many antique and thrift shops in the area. I passed one regularly that had pink and green Depression stemware for sale. About 40 pieces of different sizes that made me think of a 1930s film called “Dinner at Eight” with the Barrymore men, Jean Harlow and other stars of the time. Simply “swellegant” and I had to have them but no money to spare. Long story short the owners of the store and I became acquaintances and traded a chocolate Opera cake I made plus fifty bucks for the glasses. Cherished them, allowed my children to drink out of them on special occasions (a new parent mistake, lol) and kept them until bitten by the minimalist bug. Still the memories of good times with them linger on.

My computer mouse. It's super comfortable and has a good scroll wheel and a button to adjust sensitivity

I would be inclined to agree with a previous poster that said the air fryer. We use that thing WAY more than we thought we would.
We don't have a microwave so the air fryer is so awesome. I cannot think of a better way to heat up pizza that makes it taste like it just came from the pizzeria!
