Best thing to do on a Saturday

Hi everyone,
So I’m constantly seeing advice like “the worst day to visit MK is a Saturday”, “don’t go to the water parks on a Saturday when the locals visit” and so on. Seems like there is a lot of things you shouldn’t do on a Saturday! Therefore, if you are there on a Saturday, what SHOULD you do on that day?

Any ideas?
Thanks

Epcot unless it’s the very first Saturday of Food and Wine.

Yeah Saturday is always busy - I would probably do a pool/resort day, maybe stopping by a park and just do some evening fastpasses and fireworks.

We did Epcot on a Sat with our DS5 and it was so busy with stag and stagette parties "drinking around the world" ! Fun to watch but not the best for our son especially by 5pm

If you doesn’t want to deal with crowds, I’d say make it a resort hopping day. Wander around resorts you haven’t been to. Sit in the lobbies and/or food courts and people watch. If you drink, you can always do either the Monorail resorts bar hopping or the Epcot resorts bar hopping.

While "MK is busiest on Saturdays" may have been true years ago, it's not true anymore. MK is often busiest on weekdays. Same is true for other parks. This is because people are traveling / arriving / departing on the weekend and use the weekdays as their touring days. With the exception of locals at Epcot Food and Wine, which has been mentioned already.

I wouldn't be afraid to visit the parks on a Saturday. If you're confused about the crowds, consult a good crowd calendar. While not 100% accurate, they will give you an idea of the general crowds trends for the dates you are going.

In my opinion the parks are busy every day all day - just go with the flow and you'll have fun irregardless of what day it is.

Thanks! I'm headed to WDW on a Friday, and I was planning to make Saturday a MK day. For one thing, it's the F&W festival (not the first weekend, though) so Epcot's out. But the main reason is that it's my first time staying at a monorail resort, and I'm really anxious to get that "MK resort" feeling.

I never what day of the week it is when I'm on vacation. They all just blend.

When at Disney I just go where I want to go on whatever day except I avoid Epcot on the weekends during F&W.

I always go to MK on arrival day no matter what day of the week or what's going on in the park. I must go to feel like I'm at WDW.

We drive from Kansas City so all we generally do is the pool, wander the monorail resorts and finish up with dinner at Ohana. At least that is what we have done during the last 4 trips.
