Best thing an UO Employee has done for you

Me and my wife went to IOA when it first opened. It was probably about a month after it first opened. When we arrived at the gate with our tickets the nice lady at the front gate asked us where we were from and why we came to IOA/Universal. We told her where we were from and had a nice conversation. After we finished our conversation, the nice employee extended her arm and said don't worry about scanning your ticket, just enjoy the day for free. I thought that was great! Me and my wife have been sold on IOA and Universal ever since. I make a point every year to visit Universal. This year we are taking our 3 year old Daughter for the first time.

My DH and I were at IOA in early November. While I rode Cat in the Hat, dh asked the greeter where he could get a cup of coffee (it was a chilly morning!). She told him to wait and in a few minutes she returned with a hot cup of coffee from an employee lounge or someplace! :D

Cindy B: Where did you get a comment card? on our last trip with the kids I was so impressed I wanted to write positive notes on a comment card. Guest services said they didn't have anything like that. Maybe they thought I was going to write something unpleasant!

Europa for sake of argument when you said my story sounded so much like another on BTTF, well read mine and this one above, everything down to not suing will sound the same. I told you the same things happen to alot of people what happen to me and that womens husband are identical.

Not sure if you caught it or not but that was a little sarcasm. As you well know it is the exact same story, as you have told it many times here now. Several times when you were registered as NWO and now it’s only taken a month to get you to tell it again. Way to go. What exactly do you think that you gaining by repeating the story over and over? Fame? Sympathy? Retribution? Or do you think your doing a service to the public? Well let me tell you it’s none of the above.

"For the sake of Argument"? Do you know what the phrase means because from the way you used it..it does not seem that you do.

There will always people in the world that get hurt on these rides no matter how safe they are because there are always people looking to get hurt. Now you have found two people with the "exact" same story...and again out of millions. So gain what exactly does that prove? The only thing that "proves" is two people got "hurt" out of millions of people. It does not prove that the ride is dangrous or needs a new type of restraint system. It only "proves" that two people out of millions got "hurt". Now really think about what I'm saying here.

Have you ever heard of anyone closing his or her finger in a car door? Car doors must be dangerous now right?

Actually I was talking about the JP Injury I had, that sounded like the other injury that woman above mentioned. Since you went on a tangent about how my stories so familiar. Also since you cause arguments whenever I post something I really had to say "For the sake of Argument"? Meaning no more arguing over nothing.

See like when Robert Walker posted how he applauds my efforts for trying to shut down the Death Trap ride. it's comments like that, that continue to fuel the fire they start. I simply posted what some did for me. Then you all continued pour the gas on the fire until it got out of hand and Barry had to start deleting post. I am curious why yours it still up.

If a ride gets new warnings, new warning sings & new safety measures I would imagine alot of people where hurt on the ride. Tell that kid on MIB who flew out of the car and cracked his head open how safe MIB was without seat belt. I guess it's common to see people fly off a ride and safe too.

I get what your saying it's should be ok for people to get hurt on a ride, as long as a million others are safe no one should even care that 2 people broke their ribs on a ride. If a ride was truely safe no one would ever get hurt on them. You know alot of people don't complain, others don't sue, some sue, but no matter what Universal will never publicly say that a ride is unsafe. So you don't know how many people have been hurt at the parks. I have been hurt on 2 rides, twice on one ride, should I stop riding it then no, because why should I miss a ride because a park can't fix a saftey problem.

It's common that an airliners can crash every major airline has lost a plane to a crash, Quantas Airlines has never once lost a plane to a crash why? Because they go above and beyond to make sure thier planes are safe. That is not a new company it's well over 20 years old and not one crash that's a record. I guess they care about everyone who gets on board and not the few people who might die and the 100 more who might live.

I bet this post will be deleted in 5 minutes.

[Your Husband and I had exactly the same thing happen! I too can't bring myself on it. I only cracked a rib, and I was ok in 2 weeks. I didn't know that until 3 days later. I went on in 4 times prior to that accident, 5th time I got hurt and only twice could I get up the guts to go back on. I love Jurassic Park, I love taking pictures of Universal I have 13,000 pictures of the 2 parks. I have 190 of that ride, I just got a higher resolution camera with a zoom and really want to use it on the Jurassic Park ride, but I can't because that injury has made me affraid to ever ride it again.

Okay-So you rode it, took pictures while on the ride, a ride which states over and over again NOT to take pictures on the ride, and you got hurt from doing something that you are not supposed to do.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Sorry, just thinking aloud.

Going back to the original topic..... as for a card.. we came into the guest services area at USF.. we actually went inside somewhere, not the the outside counter guest services... there was a double door, and couches/chairs inside. We told them about it, and they got a card out from under the counter, and then they wrote it out, and made a copy of the business card.

Yeah a boy was trown off MIB and seatbelts were then installed.
He was thrown out because his parents did not put him on the inside like it says to do. This was shortly after the ride opened.
