I have a 50% off coupon (for today only) for thermal underwear at Jockey. I'm not sure how good the quality of their thermal items, which is my only reluctance in ordering. I need something that is light weight and more like silk (thin) to go under work clothes & jeans. I've also been looking online at Lands End and LL Bean, which appears to have similar pricing ($40-$60 for pants, $30-$60 for shirts).

Just wondering if anyone has experience with the quality & longevity of these brands. Or any other recommendations? Trying not to spend too much money, but also want something that'll last more than one season.

I swear by Cuddle Duds and get them at local department store. Bergner's, JC Penney, etc. They are lightweight and silky but keep you very warm. They have everything from camis to long sleeve shirts and pants too.

Good to know. Are cuddle duds more like a silky material (as opposed to a waffle material)?

I just bought some cuddle duds pants that are a lightweight fleece material and they are very warm and comfortable.

I work outside. I have been wearing the Champion C9 Baselayer which is sold at Target. They have different weights from light to warm to warmest.

Cuddle Duds are silky. They can also be found at Target. I think they range in $20 for each piece.

I used to wear long underwear every day for work. My favorite are the LL Bean and Lands End. I don't like the way Cuddle Duds fit and the pants were too short for me. Make sure you don't buy a crew neck shirt, it shows under most clothes.

Cuddle Duds have both a fleece style and silky type. I wear the fleece style as leggings and a shirt with a vest, whereas the silky type I limit more to long underwear type of uses - under jeans etc when I'm outdoors in the winter. :thumbsup2

I wore Cuddle Duds under my BDU's in the Balkins...kept me really warm all winter!

Winter Silks for warmth and lightweight for sure. They have 3 different blends according to your climate/needs, from lightweight silk to silk wool blends. My brother went from NC to Northen Wisconsin and swears by them.
