Best themed restaurant for toddler?

I agree, buffets aren’t preferred with kids but all the character dinning for dinner that doesn’t have buffets uses two dinning credits besides garden grill I believe. With toddlers the dinning plan is also worthwhile

We're usually on cash (my husband HATES counter service with a passion).

How many table services you do a day then? Best part of Disneys counter service is not having that iPad flipped in your face asking for a tip lol. Tell him they don’t do that at Disney lol

Sci-fi is kinda dark and the seating can be hard with very young children.

I think Hollywood & Vine is a great option. For some reason we always have the best character interactions over there - consistently. Somehow it’s both more relaxed and more frequent. Plus it’s a very good buffet and variety, so everyone is happy. That atmosphere might not be all that unique but it is fun. It’s a heavy hitter on the overall experience.
