Only one night for TS in MK, which one is the best?
2 adults and DS 8 not picky eaters, but love good food:love:

For a really magical experience, nothing beats Cinderella's Royal Table. Dining inside the castle is a special event that everyone should experience. :wizard:

I would also recommend the Crystal Palace. We have been for both breakfast and dinner and both were fantastic. The buffet was delicious and the character interaction was great. Even the setting has a lovely victorian theme.

We have also tried Tony's and I would not recommend it.

Good luck deciding! :goodvibes

If you are looking for a buffet & characters, you might choose Crystal Palace. Very easy way to meet the Pooh characters without having to wait in a dreadful line.

We actually LOVED Tony's for a sit down meal. We thought the food was fantastic, service was great, loved the theming of the restaurant, and after dinner we caught a wonderful view of Spectromagic from the restaurant's porch. With regards to the previous poster's comment, remember that opinions will differ with restaurants.

If you are looking for family style, Liberty Tree Tavern offers a "Thanksgiving Feast"

Never been to Cinderella's Round Table but it does get good reviews. Only downside is it's pricey and I think you have to pay in advance so there is no room for last minute cancellations. Also, it is a princess meal, so a boy might not enjoy it so much...

We LOVED Crystal Palace. The character interaction is fantastic and the food is always good.

I would agree that the food at Tony's was ok. Nothing awesome or amazing, but good. I think you could get just as much out of the ambiance as going and checking out the paw prints outside and taking pics next to a window. Of course I like to save my Italian for Tutto at Epcot, so I am biased.

CRT is also a good time, though I really think the character interaction at CP is better.

Hopefully my ramblings make sense... HAVE FUN!:flower3:

There's probably not a bad choice, but LTT is my fave. Turkey, roast beef and roast pork served family style with mac'n cheese, stuffing, green beans, and mashed taterss. The Plaza has amazing sandwiches and the best fries at WDW. These are my 2 go tos, but this trip I'm eating at Crystal Palace. The food is all right, and it's my not quite 3 yo great-nephew's first trip, so meeting Tigger is an absolute must.

I've only done Crystal Palace and Liberty Tree, and I haven't really been pleased with either. I hear only bad things about Tony's Town Square, too.

As for Cinderella's Royal Table, it seems a bit steep in price to me for a buffet.

CRT isn't a buffet. It's a fixed price, fixed menu restaurant (you pay one price but order your choices from a menu)

I don't really like any of the restaurants inside MK but have to admit I have never tried the Plaza. Personally I would leave the park and hit one of the resort restaurants.

For dinner, I've done LTT, CP, and Tony's. Of the 3, I would do LTT! Loved that. CP was good too, but love the breakfast more and we did both in May and I think we'll just stick with CP for breakfast. We'll definitely do LTT - the turkey was so good! DD4 ate SOOO much of it - she kept asking for more. DS1 loved the mac & Cheese. DH loved the mashed potatoes...yummy! I wouldn't do Tony's again.

CRT is a family tradition... So I have to go with CRT... WE LOVE IT !

DS18 and I 'broke' tradition and did Cali Grill at CR our last visit, May 10th, 2010....

Can't go wrong eating in the Castle....and as far as a "girl/boy" thing? My DS now 18 says eating in the Castle is one of his FAVORITE things about WDW....

Hugs,
Mary

We have done all four and each has its strengths and weaknesses:

CRT - the best experiences here are during character meals, particularly breakfast, which during the pre-dining program golden age of Disney dining was the crown jewel, a special and scarce opportunity that was as tough or tougher to book than the grossly overrated LeCellier is now. That stated, take the characters away and what you end up with is an acceptable but pricey meal in surroundings that are impressive (unless you are fortunate enough -- as I was as a child -- to dine in some real castles in Europe. Then the "fabrication" of the Disney version may disappoint somewhat).

The real deal: 700 year old dining hall that can be reserved for private banquets in the Chateau de Chillon (second photo) in Montreux, Switzerland.

LTT - solid and cozy "packaged" experience (fixed menu). We did dinner here and if the characters hadn't been present I would have rated this as one of the "did it but no need to return" meals of our WDW experiences. Food was O.K. and if family style is your thing that's another plus.

Crystal Palace - did this once on our first trip when our kids were small, which was the right timing - relatively generic buffet but a lot of fun if you have young ones. This definitely falls into our "did it and no need to go back" category.

TTS - perhaps the sleeper of the four. Did it for the first time last week (lunch). Given the historically mixed feedback this place gets we were surprised at the quality - all of the food was good and some approached very good. But the icing on that cake was the the service, which was excellent (prompt but not pushy and very friendly).

i haven't liked any of the food at Magic Kingdom so far... except Cinderella's Royal Table. It definitely is a "magical" experience, especially if you time it for Wishes to be going on outside the windows.

We like Crystal Palace, especially for dinner. Tony's for lunch is good as well.

CP breakfast has become a "must do" for us. We usually hit Tony's for a lunch each trip, since you can usually walk up without a ressi and get seated within 20 minutes. We did do CRT on our last trip, and thought it was great, but probably wouldn't do it again.

I'd catch the resort monorail to GF/Poly/Contemporary and eat my table service dinner at any of the excellent TS restaurants to choose from.

Not big on TS dinners inside MK.

Another vote for Liberty Tree Tavern!! The food is great - our three boys love it (even our pickiest eater), and my husband and I really enjoy it too. Nice atmosphere, quick service, and good location. We can usually catch part of the parade after dinner and then do big thunder and haunted mansion before leaving for the day.
