Best Table Service Restaurants for the Money

Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness lodge is probably the best bank for the buck…for 45.00 you get a full skillet with a ton of food and it’s all you care to eat….will be there in a few weeks can’t wait !!

And it was a gigantic bang for the buck when it was 40% off for passholders!

We'll agree to disagree. There's no scenario where I would see spending at least $750 to feed two people as reasonable value.
Fair enough and no disrespect. The boss and I have had the opportunity to eat there for our 25th and 30th anniversary, and it makes her smile. Whatever makes her smile its what I consider worth it. But the great thing about financial transactions is that the buyer sets the price, not the seller afterall. We find the product worth it, as many others do, so we pay the price. Others do not so they do not pay the asked price. Its all good.

I find it difficult to recommend Beaches and Cream when a very short walk away, you can go to the Fountain - which is a little cheaper all around and at least in my opinion, better quality burgers, fries, and shakes - plus a good selection of other sandwiches.
We have done the Beaches and Cream Kitchen Sink and it was absolutely worth its legendary status purely for the hilarity value of watching my then 5 year old son eat ice cream like his life would forever depend on it - but having just stayed at the Dolphin, I second the plug for the Fountain! They had a really wide range of choices and less intense vibe - easy to walk-up and grab a spot, or grab and go with something decadent, at least when we were there.

We also (with now slightly older kids, 10 and 7) had an absolutely lovely meal last month at Chefs de France. If you are not ready to dive in to Le Cellier, it provides a beautiful ambiance and views with food that is certainly more elevated than one might expect from a non-Signature restaurant at Disney. And that mousse!!

We also really love Akershus - Even though it's a character meal, it's the one that the entire family, DH, DS and DD, all request every time. Their breakfast is varied and filling and DH and I never leave without an (iced!) Viking coffee. Sure helps those long days go more smoothly... :rolleyes1

So true! B&C when it first opened was really good. Somewhere along the way though they went downhill to just ordinary. We used to love their burgers. Now they are just ho hum. But the Smash Burger at Dolphin Fountain is much better. IMG_3276.jpeg

Steakhouse71 is a great value IMO, especially the steak and eggs for breakfast - eaten late closer to lunch.

Boma has a lot of variety and DH and our son go back for seconds and thirds!

The Polite Pig is a low cost highly flavored eatery @ Disney Springs that does a better job of BBQ than Regal Eagle, IMO. The Chicken Guy is another spot that gives a good bang for the buck and offers TS as well as QS.

Another cheer for the Dolphin Fountain; love their ice cream and although I’ve never had their burgers many speak well of them. The “food” at Beaches and Cream depressed me.
