Hi all,

I will be going in late august with my husband, MIL, SIL and nephew. The latter 3 eat like babies while my husband and I can put it away. Anyway I really want to go to a couple TS restaurants this trip. Any suggestions?

When you say 'best' are you meaning which restaurants have the best kid's menu food or are you meaning best as in 'cheapest' kids menu items? You can go to the WDW website and view all of the menus. That may give a good idea of which TS places offer the type of kid's menu food that your family will like.

EDIT: You mention going in August..you should have already made your dining reservations at this point. Once you look at the menus, I would check to see if those TS locations are available for your dates and book as soon as you can.

Better food options, not just chicken fingers. AYCTE would be a waste on them. But i'll check out the menus. Thanks!

I think the Mickey's Check meals are usually more interesting options than just the standard kids fare and can include items such as salmon and steak. Another option may be for them to order appetizers as their main or to split a meal. Like PP mentioned August reservations opened a few months ago so I'd start checking at what is available and work from there.

Maybe I'm confused, but are you assuming that DMIL can order from the kid's menu at TS? If so, I didn't know that was possible.

Saana has a good menu for kids - their butter chicken is really good and not too exotic...plus you get to roam around AKL after dinner which is a lot of fun --wonderful decks to look at the animals, firepits with rocking chairs around them, and sometimes a storyteller is there.
Kona also has a choice of chicken, shrimp, fish or the usual burgers, etc.
Take a look at the World Showcase restaurant menus - there are several that have more interesting choices for kids-

If they are not on the dining plan many restaurants will let you order from either menu the only issues I have seen are the non disney owned ones

I would actually suggest those with good app/dessert menus vs kid meal options...like sushi, flatbreads, fancy salads, dim sum apps, fancy poutine, shareable pizza (if no DP), more fancy salads and soups, etc

In that case, I would encourage Jiko, California Grill, Brown Derby, Yak and Yeti, Le Cellier, Via Napoli, and Be Our Guest. No one worries if they get denied or seriously upcharged for not great kid meals, and you get good food for everyone...
