Best TA to book with

We have used All Seas in the past--we are looking for Feb 2007. Just looking for the most competitive rate.
We have been referred to Cruiseplanners at their website by a fellow dis member --has anybody used them before. What have been your experiences?
Communication with them has been great so far.

We go with Sue Ellen at Dreams Unlimited. Dreams monitors the prices so if any reductions come out, they are applied without us having to do a thing. Service & communication are top notch!

Ive called CruisePlanners and they never return your call I've asked for pricing on 2 cruises and heard zippo. Will never waste my time with them again

Really? I used Dana at Cruise Planners for my last cruise and everything went great with them. Dana has always responded to my emails and my phone calls and I will likely be transfering my current reservation to her as well. I had considered DU, but they openly discourage any form of contact other than email and that just doesn't work for me. When I'm spending the kind of money that I do on a cruise, it's always nice to hear a friendly voice on the phone who's willing to discuss my travel plans. I can accomplish in a 5 minute call what might take half a dozen email exchanges.

So far cruise planners has called me back 2x in the past 24 hours. I just want to make sure that the pricing they are offering is valid, because they are coming up about 200 cheaper on the cabins we are booking than others--(category 6) plus with the $100 on board credit.
can you switch ressies between agents or will i have to cancel 2007 ressie and just rebook with the most competitive one? i didnt even ask if there was a cancellation penalty--
if one more piece of scratch paper occupies my desk, i wont be able to see my keyboard.....i think i will have the magic layout memorized by the time i secure my 2007 ressie!

If price is the bottom line, perhaps you should try cruisecompete.com. Then you can see how low you can get the price, and then see if your agency of choice can match it.

Another vote for Dreams Unlimited! Booked our cruise with Karen (like the name - it's mine too!) and she has been great - This will be our third booking with them and we have never had a problem!

I tried Dana a couple of times, didn't return my calls or emails - so I didn't try her again - although I know several DIS'rs have had great success with her -

Ok, this is strange. Other than a few people who haven't had their calls returned, I've read nothing but praise for Dana on these boards and now I just noticed that her website gets filtered too if the url or even the name of her agency is listed.

The reason for the filters is that this message board is owned by the same person who owns dreams unlimited travel and any other travel agency is considered the competition so I can see why the links are filtered out

There may be other reasons but this is the one that would make sense to me

Dreams Unlimited has my vote, Sue Ellen had my cruise booked as soon as the dates opened for 2007, this is the 4th cruise I have booked with them and they are great.....

We have cruised 5 DCL cruises booked through Dana at Cruise Planners and I can HIGHLY RECOMMEND her for your cruise!

Booked first DCL through Merrie at DU and got a great deal ...Also ran the price by cruisecompete (same price quoted) and Cruise Planners (Dana said "Book it fast!)...And so, I stayed with DU and have been very happy so far...Happy cruising all! (Thanks also to you fellow DISer's who have and will be offering me wonderful cruise advice! )
