Hello, our entire family loves sushi, so where do you suggest we make dinner reservations? Thanks!

Kimonos at the Swan has great sushi. But it's walk up only. Go on the early side (5:30pm) if you do not want to experience karaoke after 9-9:30. It is a loung/bar, but there are plenty of families.

IMO, Kimonos at the Swan has the best sushi but no ADR's or DDP. As mentioned already, go around opening for a more relaxing experience.

We just had sushi for dinner at Kona Café and it was super good! We'll definitely be back!

At WDW I've only had sushi at Tokyo Dining so I can't compare it to other locations, but it's excellent there!

I am a huge sushi fan and eat sushi here at home twice a week. It helps that my DD(18) works at a sushi/Asian restaurant as well.
  • Kimono's- Excellent sushi and without a doubt the best in WDW.
  • Tokyo Dining- Decent, but not great. I have not been disappointed and have enjoyed the restaurant.
  • Kona Café- Just a notch above gas station sushi but below Tokyo Dining. Not a big fan.
  • Starring Rolls- Pre packaged gas station sushi rolls.
California Grill also offers some excellent sushi appetizers that many make a meal out of them. I will also be trying Morimoto's for the first time this June and looking forward to how they are.

*** Of course these are only my personal opinions and not an attack or insult to someone who loves the places I don't really rate very high.***

Kimonos and Morimotas (to us) has the best sushi on property. We eat at each of these locations on a near weekly basis. We have never had a bad experience at either location.

This.

Believe it Splittsville! Had sushi at everywhere mention and CG and thought it was the best and the absolute worst was at kona

WOW! Thanks for the input! Especially about Kona Cafe. How do you like the rest of their menu then? Should we keep the reservation? We are staying at the Poly and do not have a car. Can we even get to Kimono?

Kona's has really gone downhill IMHO. As has Tokyo Dining which used to have a much more extensive sushi menu.

From Poly, best way to get to Kimono's is can or uber. Or, using Disney transport take a bus to DHS and walk or take the friendship boat. You could also eat dinner there on one of your EP or DHS days as you can walk or boat to Aswan from either park.

I know my parents really enjoy Kimonos. We've had sushi at California Grill several times and always been very pleased.

California Grill
Morimoto's
Kimonos

In that order.

Yes it's at the swan and dolphin. If your going from poly you can take a bus to HS and walk/boat to S&D or you can go over to MK and take a bus from there to S&D or you can catch the Monorail to Epcot and walk through Epcot and out the International gateway and then walk/boat to S&D. Or you could just take a cab.

I haven't done Kimonos (and now want to after all the great suggestions), but we love the sushi at California Grill. Rather than eating it as appetizers, we made a meal out of it on our last trip. Their selections were unique and delicious. Here are a few quick pics to wet your appetite.
