Best Sundae Ghirardelli DTD or Beaches & Cream

Never seen these compared

Looking to get a Sundae with hot fudge sauce !

I know beaches n cream s small and requires a ADR

How are the sundaes at Ghirardelli ? As DVc we get discount off these and I think they are just walk ups and don't allow ADR's.

Would be very interested in hearing opinions - btw I'm not interested in the kitchen sink

When I'm at Disney I have been known to get Ice cream for lunch on occasion lol. The best place in my opinion is the Fountain at the Dolphin. The sundaes are large, the prices are good, and they have a greater variety of flavors. They give DVC discount (20%), but even without the discount I would still go there.

Oh goodness, we definitely have to go there now! We loved the Fountain when we stayed in 1998, but didn't know how it was recently regarding reviews...it's not talked about much on here!

Do you need to make an ADR here or can you just call in for ice cream

We will be trying Beaches & Cream for the first time in a few weeks, but Ghiradelli's is a must do every trip! It's a nice stop for a break while shopping in DTD. You can get it to go and stroll around with it, or you can get a number and go to a table and someone will bring them out to you. We've has a few different kinds - all VERY good!

As a note, for Beaches & Cream, the counter seating accepts walk-ups although it's very limited seating. May be a wait. They also have a take out window for sundaes and shakes, although it's not the same menu that they have in the restaurant (it's more limited). You can also make an ADR and just order ice cream.

Ghiradellis is a must do every trip for us. We did beaches & cream last year & not as good as ghiradellis. I always get the Midnight Revelry & DH tries something new each time. Yummy. We will be there in 3 weeks - can't wait!!

Ghirardelli is a must do for us each trip as well. We like Beaches and Cream too, but Ghirardelli ice cream is SO good!! We usually get the hot fudge or hot fudge with peanut butter sundae and it is to die for. I think its the best sundae I've had anywhere. Love!

Sounds yummy! I also like the sound of the Sea Salt Caramel Sundae

Ghirardelli sundaes are so decadent and delicious...superior to Beaches and Cream, in my opinion. I always get the Sea Cliff which has vanilla ice cream, hot fudge and a chocolate chip cookie at the bottom of the cup...sooo good!!

We love Ghirardellis too. In fact, we've been guilty of having dessert there BEFORE going to a later dinner. I just love their chocolate brownie sundae covered in hot fudge. Its called the Treasure Island.

Ghirardelli's hot fudge is our favorite of all time, anywhere. We're very fortunate and live within an hour of a Ghirardelli shop. Any time we are nearby, we have to pick up a jar of their fudge!

I got to say, I also think Ghirardelli's sundaes are better. I prefer the ambiance of Beaches & Cream and the ice cream is yummy, but Ghiradelli's is better.

The midnight bliss mint sundae at Ghiradelli is great, but I would order it with two scoops of mint instead of one mint and one chocolate, the dark choco fudge was too much on the choco ice cream. Debating if this trip I should try the pb sundae or the new sea salt caramel one.

Another vote for Ghiridelli, and the Midnight Reverie in particular. Always a high point of our trip.
