I'm planning a sort-of girls trip with my mom, my sister, me, and then my two boys! My husband and I are going in March so we're using about half of our points and I don't want to borrow too much from our 2012 points because we have a big family vacation planned for 2012. Anyway...

Where would the best place me for me to get a studio or one bedroom for 3 adult females and 2 kids under six. I'm sort of leaning towards a one bedroom or two studios - but I want to save points. The three of us are NOT high maintence. We will not be arguing over who needs the hair dryer or get out of my way I need to do my make-up. When I visit the parks my hair air-dries on the way and my make-up is a minimal. So - wanting to save points makes me want to cram us in one studio - which ones hold five guests? Or maybe I can get a one-bedroom at Old Key West?

What do you guys think?

You won't fit in a studio with five since your youngest is aged three. You need a one bedroom that sleeps five.

Get OKW, AKV or BLT. They have sleeping spaces for five in the one bedroom.

I would go with OKW, more square footage and less points for the 1 bedroom.

Even the studios sleep 4 comfortably and we have been known to sleep one on the floor. The one bedroom is huge and gives you mutiple sinks. As also noted - less points. We love OKW - "home" to my family. We always try to stay by the Turtle Krawl pool - often quieter and closer to the back path to walk to DDT.

The one bedrooms at BLT, AKV and OKW all will sleep 5. BLT is both the smallest and the most amount of points. OKW is the largest and least amount of points. There is a significant difference in the size of the rooms at OKW compared to the other two. You will also have a full sized washer/dryer as opposed to the apartment style. OKW also has the largest balconies of the disney resorts. AKV though has a wonderful water play area that your boys might enjoy though.

My vote is also a 1BR at Kidani for the two bathrooms. You will have a king size bed, pull out sofa and pull out chair for the sleeping arrangements. You can save points by not getting savanna view.

I would definately say OKW studios for sure. I had some of these same concerns and when I have my extended family come with us, I get multiple rooms at OKW. First of all they have a ton of inventory and are more likely to accomodate your request for multiple rooms where as some of the smaller, popular resorts it might be more difficult availability wise. Also the rooms are bigger at OKW and have 2 double beds whereas the studios at SSR and BWV for instance have one double bed and a pullout couch.

Not doubles, queens for studios.
