I am looking for something that reclines and offers good shade and that we can push without getting a bad back.
DH couldnt push the last one at all and it was pain.

What was wrong with the last one? Wheels don't roll well? too short? Child too heavy for stroller? It's hard to make suggestions w/out some more information! About how much does your child weigh, how tall is she/he? How much do you want to spend?

If you do a search on stroller threads you'll probably come up with a ton of information. One that gets recommended a lot on the boards is the Maclaren Volo stroller. This one has a mesh seat and doesn't recline but it's fairly tall and the stroller is rated to 55lbs so it's good for an older and/or heavier child. OR even if the child isn't "heavy" you can still hang your bag on the back of it and be able to push it easily.

We have a Kidco LS2000 stroller which is similar to the Maclarens and it's held up pretty well over several trips now. It has extendable handles for taller parents (dh is 6'2"). Ds is 42" tall and still fits in the stroller comfortably. His head is slightly over the top of the seatback now but the canopy still fits over his head because its curved instead of flat, so I like that. Everything is removable which is nice for cleaning it too. Oh and the Kidco's have a 50lb limit if that matters.

hth!

Be warned I have loved my Combi and even got a new one last year for ds who was 2 at the time. He is now 3 and is really to big for it. He is 38" tall and weighs about 35 lbs. if that helps for reference. We took it to the zoo a few weeks ago and it was not comfortable for him when he laid down and he kept putting his feet on the ground or front wheels because he was cramped up with his feet on the foot rest. I have to find something bigger and this makes me sad as I so loved my Combi.

Combi's are small and dont push well after the child is a few years old. I made the mistake of ordering one for DD and while it was okay at first, once she got a few years old it just wouldnt push worth a darn. The handle was short too, and DH didnt want to have anything to do with it. Ordered a Maclaren Volo just for 2 Disney trips a couple of years ago and what a difference. It pushes like a dream, holds up to 55 pounds and the handles are very tall. Just got a Mac Quest yesterday for DD(due in Sept). I wont use this until she is 5 or 6 months, but bought it since it was only $129 on sale at www.albeebaby.com
Macs are great strollers

its brand new model
hold ups to 45 pounds and has an adjustable handle so I am hoping we will be ok

I LOVE my Maclaren Quest. Although we rarely use it anymore DD still likes it and it's still easy to push. I really struggled with spending that much on a stroller - but after our first Disney trip with a "big" stroller (that went with the infant seat) I knew we had to do something different. The Quest was a dream come true :rotfl: East to fold, easy to carry, pushes like a dream....there is not one thing about it that I can say I don't like....wait that's a lie....I would like a bigger basket - but I can definitely live without it and I would like a drink holder for DD but again - with all the benefits those are very minor inconveniences.

Which model did you get?

I have a Combi Twin Sport that has a combined weight limit of 90lbs (45 for each seat). I got it last year, so it's fairly new.

It is HARD to push, and my kids weigh 28 and 24 pounds. I can't imagine it being POSSIBLE to use when they each weigh 45lbs. I think those weight limits are the absolute max you can put in there before the stroller suffers damage, but in reality, they push like lead pipes with larger kids in them.

I needed a single lightweight stroller for my 1 year old who is pretty big for his age (33", 24lbs) and I was GOING to buy a Combi DX, but I ended up getting a Maclaren Quest instead, and it was WELL worth the extra $100. The Combi actually felt like I was trying to push it on sand (in a Babies R Us store). The maneuverability was horrible and I couldn't steer it with one hand.

We just purchased a Maclaren Quest for our 2 1/2 year old and LOVE it. We tried it with our 5 year old as well and it was soo smooth to push!

We bought the Volo for our 2 year old daughter. We had a Combi but it was too small for her and my husband and I are both tall. We felt like we were hunched over pushing all the time and kicking the back wheels. The Volo pushes like a dream, and has very tall handles. The best part of the Volo is that the mesh seat is not a problem when it rains in Disney. It dries right way, and is great if your child spills on it. You can wipe it right off. When we take it to the beach and it gets sandy, we actually hose it off and let it dry in the sun. It is our favorite travel stroller by far! My daughter is now almost 5 and she still fits comfortably in it and she is very tall (45 inches).
