Best Strategy for Pre-Park ADR at BOG

So - I made an 8:25 reservation at BOG on a 9:00 opening day. I'm hoping to get into the park close to 8 as possible, and perhaps get into BOG a few minutes early. I'd like to enjoy the atmosphere and breakfast, and then be ready to book it to 7DMT if they're letting the pre-park ADR crowd in ahead of the mob. Does this leave enough time?

Alternately, I've considered booking an 8:55 ressie, hoping to get into the park at 8:40ish and maybe riding 7DMT before breakfast if that is a better strategy.

Thoughts?

No. With an 8:25 ADR and wanting to relax and take your time, it should be about 9:15 by the time you are done.

If 7DMT is a priority, I would consider an ADR as close to 10 am possible.

Do you mean as close to 8:00 AM? Park open is 9:00 this day. 8:25 is as close as I've seen so far. Maybe something will open up closer.

No, I meant close to 10 when breakfast ends. Get there for rope drop head to Mine Train and do it standby then head to Pan, Pooh and then go to breakfast when the standby wait times start to build. FP's mid day (10:30-11:30, 11:30 -12:30 and 12:30-1:30) then get additional for whatever is left.

I am pretty sure they let all the pre open ADRs in together regardless of if your ADR is 8am or 855am...At least that was our CP experience last year. We have at 810 ADR and are planning being there by around 715-730 so we can be some of the first to be allowed in. At least that is our hope.

Is 7DMT worth $10 to you? Get in early with your BOG ADR and just go wait in line for 7DMT. Alternately, order in advance at BOG and get the croissant donut (quickest to come out) then take it with you and eat as you get in line.

When we were at the MK last month for an early Keys to the Kingdom tour, they were not letting all guests with early ADR's in at one time.

The CM asked what time your reservation was for, and either let you in early, to instructed you to get into another line to wait until closer to your ADR time for admission.

I think it was 15 minutes early admission - not an hour early like others have mentioned.

Maybe this is a new change with all of the early BOG reservations since they started serving breakfast.

I think there is a 50% chance you will get let in before 8 with everyone, and a 50% chance you will get let in around 8:10. I have had both experiences.

We were at WDW last month and had four pre-park breakfasts, ranging in time from 8:05-8:25. Each time, we got let in the park around 8 and could go straight to our restaurant to check in/eat right away. We were finished well before 9 every time. I'd suggest just showing up around 7:30/7:45 so that you're with the first group that gets let in.

Just curious - what restaurants? I know one morning I'd like to do BOG and I'm not worried about getting out in time for that one. But, I'm wondering if I do CP at 8...will I get out in time (before RD crowds)...

CP has been hit or miss for me. If you just miss a character, you are in big trouble. That will be a 90+ minute breakfast. If you are in right at 8am, chances are you will get everyone on the first go around and be out by 8:45ish. I have also been seated at 8:15 and one of the characters had just passed by. We finished our breakfast before 9am, and waited until after 9:30 and they still hadn't come back. We had to ask our waitress to help and they let us cut in between tables. Many times they will not even allow that, but since we sat there for over 30 minutes they helped us out.

We did CRT, Be Our Guest, CP, and Tusker House (at AK). CP took the longest, but admittedly, that was our first day in MK that trip, so we took a little bit of a leisurely stroll getting there to stop and take photos, which meant we missed Tigger, and had to wait maybe an extra 20 minutes for him to come back. The other days, we went straight to the restaurants, and were out by 8:40ish (and at Tusker House, honestly, maybe closer to 8:30 - we were definitely the first people on the Safari that day!). We were out before rope drop every other day, and I think we would have been at CP if we hadn't taken our sweet time getting there.

Silly question, but if you finish a pre-park breakfast early, are you able to just roam the whole park freely or do they keep you close to the restaurant you've eaten at?

When we finished our CP breakfast early, we headed over to 7dmt. They stopped us just past the castle and would not let us go over to 7dmt unless you had a BOG reservation. But you have free reign on main street, etc.
