Best steak?

Steaks hard to say.people are funny about them,love filets but won't eat a rib eye,burnt to a crisp,or very rare,prime versus angus vs choice......I like California Grill but that just me and med rare steak plz,lol/

We've tried all the places mentioned with the exception of Shula's. Of the ones we've tried, we would rate Yachtsman first, followed closely by AP and Jiko.

I've had excellant steaks at Le Cellier, California Grill, Concord Steakhouse, and the Yachtsman Steakhouse.

For those on the DDP, it sounds like the best single-credit steak can be had at LeCellier, while the best Signature restaurant steak seems to be a bit harder to decide, with Yachtsman Steakhouse, Jiko, Artist Pointe, and California Grill all getting lots of recommendations.

I've had steak at Le Cellier, Shula's, California Grill, and Concourse. It was definitely good at all of those places, but if I were to rank, it would be:

1. Shula's
2. CG
3. Le Cellier
4. Concourse

The beef at Shula's was unbelievable. I wasn't going into it expecting it to be that good. I've had steak at all of the big name places in New York so I wasn't really prepared to be surprised by any of the steak at WDW. I was. Cooked to perfection. Service was impeccable. Bringing out all of the meats is a little much, but the rest of the experience was top shelf. The side dishes at Shula's are also top quality and plentiful.

California Grill was also great, service exceptional. [EDIT: I had the filet at CG, and the preparation was immaculate. The beef was extremely tender. We also had one of those flatbreads, which oddly enough was a great complement to the steak.]

Le Cellier is good, definitely better than Concourse. LC is a nice option if you're in the park and don't want to leave, but if that's not a concern, Shula's is just down the boardwalk at the Swan and is definitely worth it.

Shula's is our favorite, hands down. Yachtsman is very good and we had our wedding reception there. Jiko and Flying Fish both have great steaks too.

WOW! All that have been mention are great.....to be different on the last trip we ate at the Turf Club and to my surprise the steak was excellent.

So far we have ADRs at Yachtsman and Flying Fish. We want to use our DDE card if we can. I would like to do Shula's as well, since it sounds wonderful, but we will only be there for 1 week. I think Shula's will have to wait until next trip. Or we may try for a reservation when we get there. This thread has been very interesting!

To me Shula's isn't any different than the other national steak houses like Mortons or Ruth's Chris. I'm sure it's a very good steak, but honestly I've found better meat elsewhere.

Kona has a surprisingly good filet, but like most of the non-signature restaurants in WDW they don't cook it properly as ordered. I ordered medium rare and it was slightly gray too far into the meat. That was a consistent problem my entire trip. Only at California Grill was my steak cooked properly to medium rare (crust on outside, sliver of well done grayish meat, and then nice transistion into rare).

If you're looking for steak, there's a lot of great choices in WDW. Heck, the steak at Teppan Edo was darn tasty as well.

I must agree with several of the OP and vote for Shula's, hands down. Shula's comes with a big price tag but well worth it. We have eaten at LeCellier, Yachtsman, Narcosees, etc., But nothing quite compared to Shula's. But I will also agree, the restaurant is very adult and dimly lit. Next time we will ask for the room that is a bit more lighted. BUt if you want candlelight and romance along with an awesome wine list??? Go for it!!

I agree with everyone else who says that Yachtsman, Jiko, California Grill and Le Cellier have the best steaks.

I know it sounds crazy but I had the steak at Flying Fish just recently and it topped every other steak I've had at CG, KONA, LeCellier, JIKO!!!

I'm going to say V&As Kobe beef, but that isn't really "steak". It's beef butter, cows that found enlighenment, what calfs want to be when they grow up.

But in mere mortal "steak", we really like Yachtsman. The chateaubriand is wonderful. Overall if you go to one of the signature restaurants, you probably won't be too dissapointed.

I just had an absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked steak at The Grand Floridian Cafe'. It was oustanding!
