Best steak (other than Le Cellier)...

Since I'm having issues with getting another ressie for Le Cellier for June (I have one now but only for 6 people when I need 7. Still going to keep it and try to get in with 7 but I have back up ressies if not), does anyone know of another place that has a good steak?

My parents are going Disney with us and my dad isn't a fan of much else (I'm sure he's going to hate Ohana's and Teppon Edo because he hates rice and pineapple and some other stuff!) I'd like him to have at least one meal that he will really like when he's there!

Any suggestions?

Whispering Canyon Cafe at WL has a very nice Ribeye.

I have had it twice and it was delish both times. Very tender and tasty, not overly spiced...very nice steak.

WCC is a nice western themed restaurant where the staff do "antics" so it does get a bit loud sometimes. But we like it. Food is good, a relaxing boat ride from MK so it is close to our favorite park.

If the noise bothers you go early in the evening 5pm or so, it is a lot quieter.

We've got that booked, too so I guess it will be a good choice and my dad can get something he'll like! I've heard about the antics that they do and we're staying at Fort Wilderness so we'll be right there!

Thanks!

I loved my steak at Coral Reef. It was actually more tender and flavorful then the one I had at LeCellier. I also enjoy the New York Strip at Kona, but it has a pineapple teriyaki glaze, so that probably wouldn't work. They do have a Ginger crusted ribeye on the menu.
He may not hate Teppan Edo. I have had the Filet Mignon twice and it is melt in your mouth tender. It is served with veggies and noodles. There is no nice or pineapples involved. :)

In 2006 I had the Grilled Buffalo Sirloin Steak from Artist Point at WL which was fabulous, but only if you like your meat rare or medium rare. The waitress told us the cooks wouldn't even make it if it was ordered any more cooked than medium rare.

Last September my DH had awesome steaks at Chefs de France, grilled tenderloin, and at California Grill, filet. If you're adventurous, the Ostrich at Cali Grill was amazing too. I was surprised that it was red meat.

And last but definetly not least (only because its one of our favorite restaurants) the strip steaks from Kona Cafe at Poly were pretty good too.

Yes, we eat a lot of red meat!

Hey Kelli -- guess who?!?!?

Kona Cafe for dinner has an amazing teriyaki steak (that isn't too heavy on the teriyaki flavor) and we've also had great steaks at Coral Reef and Grand Floridian Cafe.

I have enjoyed steaks at LeCelliar, but I also enjoyed the one that I have had at Coral Reef as well as Kona Cafe!

I'm going to assume that you are wanting recommendations for restaurants that are not a Signature (2ts) restaurant. If you want Signature included most of them are much better than Le'Cellier such as Jiko, California Grille, Citricos, Narcoossee's (my favorite) and Yachtsmen.

If you want 1ts restaurants my personal favorites for a good steak are WCC, Coral Reef, and Captains Grille (a pleasant surprise). In my opinion I like these three better than I like Le'Cellier. Other than the cheese soup and pretzel bread, I found Le'Cellier to be less than great (it was good).

I feel the need to always say this when posting about restaurants; this is only my own personal opinion and is not intended to be fact, just mearly opinion based on personal taste and experiences. :)

If your dad really appreciates a serious, prime cut of beef expertly prepared, Shula's is the only place on property that does that justice. Example below:

Your Dad might like the steak at Teppan Edo! DD12 enjoys the filet, and I have enjoyed the sirloin. Granted it will be served in smaller, cut up pieces than a traditional steak dinner, but it is delicous, and more tender than most WDW restaurant steaks. They will ask how you want your steak cooked.
