Best steak at Disney??

Brown Derby at Hollywood Studios!
Went to D-World two weeks ago and had steak at the Brown Derby for the first time. Even my 8-year-old daughter loved it! It's two meals on the dining plan, so maybe pay cash, but the steak melted, it was so tender!

By far the best is at Yachtsman... it's also one of the best restaurants on property (in my experience, anyway).

Shula's is a close second.

I love the filet at Yachtsmen but I've also loved the NY Strip at Coral Reef (had that several times and its always been excellent. I also love the steak at Turf Club.

We are planning our trip for May and my dad wants the best steak at disney... anyone opinions?? I'm not a steak person myself so don't know where to send him..

Hi,
The best steakhouse experiance on property is Shula's Steakhouse located at the WDW Dolphin. It is not on the DDP. The best steak that you can get using the DDP I would say the filet at Jiko's located at AKL's Jumbo house.

I had the bone-in ribeye at Citricos last year and it was fantastic. Did not see it on the menu when we were there this past September so we went elsewhere. If it makes it back onto the menu, I would highly recommend it.

Wow, I'm so surprised that so many of you are saying YSH to be your favorite (after Shula's). Maybe it's because I'm a steak snob but I cringe thinking of how they call themselves a steakhouse when their steak, imo, is bland and boring. It's not terrible, I've had decent meals there... decent enough to have dined there 3 times now but out of all the signature restaurants I've eaten (I've dined at all, I've had some form of steak at all) YSH is definitely at the bottom.

For me, out of the signatures,
1. California Grill
2. Citricos
3. Flying Fish Cafe / Narcoossee's

Le Cellier NY strip is pretty good, I wish they had the maple filet still, that was delicious.

Coral Reef NY strip is my favorite but I can handle a lot of seasoning.

When it was there, the Concourse Steakhouse in CR was by far the best!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really wish they wouldn't have changed CR all around like that.

We have never tried Yachtsman or Shula's (a bit too pricy and we didn't really want to take our two young girls there), but we did eat at Le Cellier. Their NY strip was probably the best steak we have ever had, and we eat steak a lot. The flavor was awesome. Their bread is also really good.

A step down from what has been mentioned but very good never the less is the mushroom filet at LeCellier. My 77 year old father said it was one of the tenderest steaks he ever had last year and he requested to go back this year and they cooked it the way he wanted it.
Noticed you went on a cruise earlier this year, my parents won't go on any other cruiseline after Disney.

I completely agree. This was amazing.

I've been there twice now and wasn't impressed either time. Glad to know it isn't just me. I love a good steak, but theirs wasn't outstanding.

The best filet I have ever had is at BlueZoo...it was amazing

We have dined at Flying Fish three times and each time DH has had the NY Strip, he said it is the best piece of meat he has ever had anywhere!

I would say...Lecellier...or Shulas on Disney Property(honorable mention to the Steak Teriyaki at Kona)....However the Best Steakhouse would be The Palm located inside the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal orlando...enjoy!!

I can't really compare to other steaks in WDW, but the steak I had at LeCellier was one of the best I have ever had.

We just ate at YS and FF in Dec. They were okay but would not go back. The FF steak was very tasty b/c of the char topping but the steak itself was just okay. Not a great piece of meat. The filet was tastier than the porterhouse or ribeye at the YS (from DH opinion who does not usually get filet). We were a bit disappointed.
We go to Shula's often near our house and love it. It has wonderful steak. We have also eaten at THE palm in Atlantic City and it is great too. SO I would rec, shulas or the palm for a good steak.

we were just there the first week in Dec and had steak at Coral Reef and Le Cellier, Coral Reef wins hands down. It was so tender and the flavor was excellent. LeCellier was kind of tough and bland. I finished every last bite of the one from Coral Reef but left half at LeCellier for my DH.

In order.......
Shula's
Citricos
Yachtsman
