Best steak at Disney??

Another vote for the NY strip at Coral Reef. I like my steak to be well done and some of the restuarants can't cook well done steak properly, for whatever reason. However the steak at CR was cooked to perfection.

Our #1 favorite place for dinner at WDW is the Flying Fish ... we normally order fish (the snapper is amazing!) but we always order their steak at least once per trip....it is well seasoned and charred new york strip .. melt in your mouth tender.

Interesting comments, I never would have thought to try the Coral Reef for Steak ..guess we'll have to give it a try!

Here is another vote for Yachtsman - both the porterhouse and the Filet are fantastic!! As were the salads for appys!

A step down from what has been mentioned but very good never the less is the mushroom filet at LeCellier. My 77 year old father said it was one of the tenderest steaks he ever had last year and he requested to go back this year and they cooked it the way he wanted it.
Noticed you went on a cruise earlier this year, my parents won't go on any other cruiseline after Disney.

I agree. I've heard great things about the steaks @ LeCellier. Can't wait to try them for myself.

Of all the places I have gone too at Disney I am going to say the Buffalo steak at Artist Point. I have heard good reports about Yachtsman but have yet to try maybe next time.

Steak lover here, and I think the best steak I've had on Disney property was at Fulton's Crab house in downtown Disney. I was really surprised since it was a seafood restaurant, but I've had it twice, and both times it was perfect - plenty of flavor, and soooo tender.
If you have transportation, and he REALLY wants a great steak, venture of property to Charlie's Steak House. I read that they were ranked the #1 steak house in the country. We've been there several times and always found it worth the trip off site.

We tried the Grand Floridian Cafe on our recent trip. We had the NY strip and it was excellent. The potatoes that came with it were so yummy and we ate 2 baskets of bread. A surprise place for us--we will go back.

Until all the free dining and stuff showed up, I REALLY liked the filet at Le Cellier, that was in 07. We ate there again in 08 and it wasnt nearly as good of quality, plus they had changed chefs and my maple BBQ filet wasnt there anymore :(

I did really like the yachtman steakhouse also. I havent tried it at other places.

I had 2 main steaks on my last trip. We were on the Dining Plan, so we didn't try any of the expensive restaurants, but I had the NY Strip Steak at the Coral Reef restaurant in EPCOT (it was REALLY flavorful and pretty tender, too) and the "Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon" at Le Cellier in EPCOT...which was pretty much the best steak I've ever had. :) Mine was well done (as requested) and it was still INCREDIBLY tender. I don't see how my husband's medium steak could've been any more tender. It was great...and I don't even like mushrooms...definitely worth trying. Their pretzel breadsticks were also very good.

Well, to be honest, the best steak I've had on Disney property is at Artist Point, the buffalo sirloin cooked medium... OMG soooooo good. And it went perfectly with the caramelized onions and sweet potatoes.

I am with you! Ate there twice and both times had the steak and it was delicious. Was very surprised, but we will be going back! :thumbsup2

hands down, on several occasions, Flying Fish.

Flying Fish
Yachtsman Steakhouse
Captain's Grill

We used to like LeCellier, but on our last trip, the food was terrible.

This past week the NY Strip at the Coral Reef did not disappoint! It was outstanding yet again.

We just had a fabulous steak at Shula's! Wow! It was amazing! :cool1:

DH and I both got the Filet and had never had a better steak!

We are planning our trip for May and my dad wants the best steak at disney... anyone opinions?? I'm not a steak person myself so don't know where to send him..

Of the places I've been to personally, in this order:

1) California Grill (WAY #1)
2) Citrico's
3) Jiko
4) The Wave

Haven't been to Le Cellier (yet) but would imagine that would be in the top 3, from what I've heard/read.

I just ate at CG Christmas eve, the best filet I have had at Disney, we had ressie at 9 and at ten could watch wishes from our table, the whole nice, foos, wait staff and atmosphere was great :thumbsup2
