Best SSR location for us?

I am planning our upcoming trip for December 16-22. It's our first time at SSR, and I'm wondering which area I should request. When I made the ressies, the CM ask me which section, and since I really did not know, I said the Springs. The more I read, it sounds like CP may be better. Here's our info: Me, DS14, DS10, and DD9; Studio for 6 nights; They would love the Community Hall and are old enough to go to it together, without me. They enjoy being able to run to get a quick bite to eat in the a.m. while I finish getting dressed (AP); we would utilize DTD, both ends, at least a couple of times during our stay; probably will not be interested in the pool during December (you know how us Southerners are about the cold!), but would be interested in the hot tub. I was really satisfied with the description of the Springs (CH, close to the main building, lounge ), but am wondering if CP would be better - is it that much difference in the walk to DTD?

I think you made a good choice - the difference in the walk to the marketplace end would probably be about 5-10 minutes depending on how fast you walk and how many times you stop to look at rabbits and or lizards. You will be closer to the path to go to the west side so that will make up for the difference in the other direction. You can also get the bus from the Springs bus stop - I thin it is the last one before it leaves the resort so is a quick ride to DTD and then you could walk back or take the boat. The Springs area is the closest to the main pool, aracade and food court so those are all plus features given your plans. Hope you have a great trip no matter where you end up.

I really like the Congress Park area. It overlooks DTD and I has a quiet pool there. From Congress Park it's a short walk to DTD. The view is Great!

Thanks for the replies. I think I will stay with the Springs area, simply because the only time the kids would be running around without me would be to do things in that area - going to DTD, I would be with them, so overall the Springs will probably be more convenient.
