I know you can ask the cooks at most of the places, but was wondering what eating places would have the best selection for gluten and dairy free food.

Taste Pilot's Grill at California Adventure has GF Buns for their hamburgers (which leads me to believe you can ask for a GF bun anywhere).

Whitewater Snacks uses corn chips in their nachos.

Naples in Downtown Disney has GF pasta.

Most other places I opted for their salads or something that didn't need to be modified.

Well, the first place you want to go is to City Hall - they have a huge print out that you can take of all of the gluten-free food at each restaurant or vendor in both parks. It was invaluable to me!

I loved that the Plaza Inn breakfast served gluten-free waffles (and they were really good), but hate that you have to pay character meal prices just to get them. Hungry Bear also offers GF buns for their burgers. Um, and that's about all that I can remember right now (rushing out the door to work), but the list is extensive.

I had a great meal at Tortilla Joe's in Downtown Disney too! Good luck, and make sure that you hit City Hall!

Thanks for the tip about City Hall. I was hoping to make advance reservations before getting there, but I guess ill wait to see this printout.

I'll have to stop by City Hall today! Thanks for that tip. Didn't even think of that one.

Flight Command Cuisine also has GF buns.

I tried to post a PDF with the gluten free information we received from City Hall in September but since I’ve never posted before I’m not able to. If you want a copy of what I have, shoot me an email or message.

You don't have to wait until you get to City Hall... I had the whole list emailed to me. Use the contact form on the Disneyland website :cutie:
Thanks for this tip! I called the other day to make breakfast reservations and asked about GF and the phone CM wasn't able to help me. Glad to know I don't have to wait until I get there.

I didn't see the Dole Whip float listed on the menu. Wouldn't that be GF?

According to the handout, the Dole Whip Frozen Drink is on the list. I know Frozen Yogurt is generally GF so I think the Dole Whip Frozen Yogurt would be ok.

I know the Portobello mushroom dish at Blue Bayou is vegan. At the Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue the meats are obviously not, the cornbread has some cheese in it and is not gluten free anyway, and the corn at dinner is poached in milk and butter. Redd Rockett's Pizza Port does have gluten free pizza dough available. At the table service restaurants, always talk to the chef - they are often able to bend things to fit your needs
