Best Souvenir!

I love my Disney Mr. Potato Head:earsboy: I got it this past July in the gift shop near Dinosaur. My kindergarteners love it too:D

Last December, I bought a snow globe that has a photo of Mickey on one side and a place to slip your own photo in on the other side. It's always fun, but tricky, trying to pick the right photo in the right size. I chose a photo of my daughter, son, and grandson in front of the castle. Whenever he comes over, my grandson gets a kick out of shaking the globe and watching the glittery "snow" swirl around them at Disney World.

At downtown Disney, there's a glassworks place that does etched glass mugs. DH and I bought two in 1999 with 2000 and WDW etched in them, then had our names engraved. We use them all the time! They're practical, they don't wear out AND we remember our trip every time.

Also. DD4 mos. was conceived during our last trip to WDW!

My favorite souvenir is my Mickey toe ring. I wear it all the time, and so I carry a little bit of Disney wherever I go!!

Cuckoo clock from Germany..:D

For those of you into Making Disney scrapbooks and photo albums.... We have our very own scrapbooking board here on the DIS. Go down to the bottom of the page to the drop down menu. You have to go down pretty far. It is almost the last board on the list. Looking forward to seeing you there.

It's not from any of the parks, but I did get it while on vacation to WDW when I was eight.

We took a day off from the parks to see the ocean (I don't know where on the coast, exactly) and I found a pretty rock that I liked. It had neat shinny specks in it. So I kept it and brought it back.

20 years later I still have it! It's a reminder of my first WDW trip and the first time I saw the ocean!

Some souvenirs can't be bought, they're just found!

My favorite WDW souvenir is a Mickey watch I bought several years ago. My wife saw me admiring the watch at the World of Disney store at Downtown Disney. It's a beautiful watch, but it was quite a bit more money than I was really considering spending. She finally talked me into buying it, and I'm wearing it right now. :D

The photo albums are always my favorite. We also got some MM plastic tumblers and MM cannisters this past trip. We may get some more MM kitchen ware next trip. One thing that I've always wanted was a good looking car tag but I've never seen on that really struck my fancy. I keep hoping to find one of those mirrored background tags with MM ears on it.

I love our Mickey and Minnie Bobbleheads. They are so cute. We got the one in their wedding outfits. Their noses have magnets so they stick together. We also had them personilized with our names and wedding date. Only cost 30$ and they are my favorite.

I don't buy too many souvenirs myself, but my younger sister's favorite souvenir is her "Tower of Terror" badge. It's a "staff pass"-style badge on a neck lanyard that says "I Survived TOT". She was 10 years old when she got it and she would wear it all the time both at the park and when we got home. Now's she's 12 and we're leaving for WDW the day after tomorrow, and she's already packed it to take with her. Same goes for her round light-up Mickey button (the kind that flashes during parades).

My favorites are my Mickey watch that I bought at Uptown Jewelers on Main Street and our coffee mugs that we use every day!::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

My best souvenier is a name tag I got in Disneyland - we found it and it was free - his name is Mike and it is just fun to have -- I have it hanging in my car now! :p

We really like to collect pressed pennies of our favorite Disney characters. And it works for Universal parks too.

And a lot of t-shirts, mugs and stuffed characters, too.

I think I'm gonna get a scrapbook , next time... :earseek:

I also love all the scrapbooking stuff. I put one together after every trip. My all-time favorite souvenirs are the hand-made dolls you get in Germany at Epcot. Oh - any kind of Christmas ornament. Who am I kidding? I love to shop anyway, so being at Disney World is just this close to heaven!;)
