Best souvenier you've ever gotten at Disney?

what a beautiful story, made me teary too!!! Hope my granddaughter and I can develop some great memories of disney.

Thanks for listening. It makes me teary, but in a good way! The Disney magic always includes her. I can't wait to go back, when I walk into WDW each time, my heart bursts!

Thanks for sharing the memory with me. It seems to come alive again when we share!

Y'all are awesome!

I love the different character shaped pens. I keep them on my desk and my students enjoy them, too. I also collect antenna toppers, but I need a way to display them. Any ideas?pirate:

When my sis and I went to WDW 4 years ago I saw a framed print of Alice, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella and it was signed by the ladies who were the voices of the characters. I kept going back and looking at it, but couldn't bring myself to buy it. When we got home unbeknownst to me, my sister told my DH how much I was admiring the picture and he said he wanted me to get it. I  it and it's hanging in my family room so I can look at it every day!!

Also, at DL 6 years ago, my DD and DS had their portraits done in pastels and I love those pictures, too! :)

One more...2 years ago we were at DL over our anniversary and my DH bought me an Olszewski piece and with that one piece, we now have the whole DL collection of his pieces. They are awesome (Sorry to get carried away, but I just love Disney souvenirs!)

in certain areas, the stores sell photo stills from disney movies, (i.e.:: toy story)) they are movie stills from the movies- and i think it's a neat idea, example, if your nephew or son's fav disney movie is alladin, and you get a freeze frame movie still of alladin on the carpet- and maybe even get it autographed, you can frame it- if it's not already framed, and that makes a nice gift for more than just a few months/weeks after u get back from the trip!! specifically, i can think of MGM that does that- as soon as u walk in the park on the left- there's a little shop, but i'm sure the photostills are anywhere on site.

My son, now 18 months. And it's probably the most EXPENSIVE souvenir there is.....

Woah! Especially true when you MUST bring those kids back to Disney every year! Tell 'em just where they were conceived, too. "The year before your birth, your father and I were on the Small World ride...." :rotfl:

Anyway, I love the cells and have two of them that we just love. They are stamped as limited editons:

It's nice to get 'em signed, too. This one is signed by Jim Cummings, the voice of "Winnie the Pooh".

Ebay has lots of stuff; it might not be a true souvenir, but it sure is a great memory! One year I bought this stock certificate for my wife; Disney makes them very pretty (so they don't get redeemed?):

And this one is from Mouse Surplus; it is an old sign from the boat docks at which the Friendships land. We have so many fond memories of taking those boats to MGM and to the "back side" of Epcot, that its fun to see this when we relax out in the backyard by the pool:

Love everyone's shared experiences! It is the "stuff" that keeps our memories fresh and brightens an average day....

My favorite souvenier is a Minnie Mouse plush that I got on my first Disney trip back in 1976.Back then there weren't any Disney stores so it was really a special treat. I believe that we got it at the gift shop that was just outside the exit of the park before catching the tram to go out to the parking lot.I dragged that Minnie Mouse around everywhere and it shows.I still have it today and it brings back many happy memories for me.

an inexpensive mickey watch with interchangable ribbon watchbands. The watch was $15, each band is $5.

I have two. One is a pin. It is the same as the self portraits people have been posting pictures of, just in pin form. I love it! It reminds me not only of Disney, but a painting by Norman Rockwell that I love.

The other is from a cruise, and it has a (very sad) story behind it. While on the cruise, I met a boy. :lovestruc We had so much fun on the trip! We went everywhere and did everything together. Well, he gave me a gold charm bracelet with his inital and a sombrero on it (we were in Mexico). After the trip, I wore it every day, as a connection to him, becuase he lived so far away. Then, one day, I was in the hospital and they needed me to take it off for a few minutes. I gave it to my dad...my dad put it down...and I never saw the bracelet or the boy again. :sad1:

I love souvineers, though. Shopping is one of the best parts of Disney, don't you think?

On our last trip, we found these new vending machines
that makes dog tags and luggage tags for $10.
You get to choose design, type your name and see the machine engrave it for you - it takes only mins.
We each made one. Mine is on my key-ring for work. If I ever
misplaced them, they could be identified. My one son put his tag on his lunch box and my other son put his tag on his backpack as a zipper pull.
What a great everyday reminder of the most magical place on earth. :thumbsup2

There weren't many of these vending machines. I think they are new and testing the idea. There is one on the Boardwalk, one in Pooh Corner at
Downtown Disney and one in MGM by the Studio Catering Co. Flatbread Grill.

Shortly before I started a new job 5 yrs ago, I bought a Mickey Mouse bobble head. It's been at my desk every day since. :)

We really enjoy the pressed pennies as souvenirs,
resort mugs,
trader pins,
and the CD that has all the music from the parks (I forget what it's called, but I play it all the time while I'm driving)
but I'm somewhat of a packrat and even saved the box our chocolate covered pretzels came in,
as well as the plastic Disney bags from any store.

Then, I'll come home and make a scrapbook with our photos and everything else from restaurant napkins to room keys.

While I was staying at pop in March one of the bus drivers gave a few of the kids some transportation cards (look like hockey cards),,well me being a big kid I asked if I could have one to,,nice free souvenir,,and plan to see if I can get a few more next year. :goodvibes
All the pictures of my kids playing at River Country years ago are pretty special to me also.
Hugs Mel

From WDW my best souvieners are my Nightmare Before Christmas Xmas Ornaments, My Jack Coffin Shaped purse that was only available at WDW and my Pirate's Pillaging shirt also only at WDW are all favorites!

I have many great items from DL and besides the shadow pictures of my sister and I as kids I would say one of the best is my unoffical Disney item is my replica of the Haunted Mansion Bat Stantion. I didn't get it at Disney but arranged to get it at Bat's Day. I love it!!!!!!!!!!

I have 2 mugs for my a.m. coffee, both gotten at WDW, I feel better when drinking out of my Tink mug,and picturing when/where i got it!
Also love my keychain, and charm bracelet- I have about 1000 tees.I like them, but I like my little things better

My mickey watch I bought on my first trip about 15 years ago I still wear almost everyday. This past trip I bought a cute mini photo album key chain and put pics from our trip in it. If I'm waiting in line for anything I'll take a little trip back through our pictures.

We buy a Christmas ornament on every vacation we go on, not just WDW. (The employees at Cedar Point thought I was loony asking if there was anywhere that sold Christmas ornaments! Only one shop sold them and no one knew for sure which one it was!) I love decorating my Christmas tree and seeing the ornaments from all the places we've been. My favorites are a Mickey and Minnie bride and groom photo frame one from our honeymoon, with our wedding photo inside, and one commemorating our 4th anniversary, a gift on our last vacation from our friends.

I also have Mickey earrings and an Italian charm bracelet with mostly WDW charms. I love wearing them!
