Best Snacks To Take Home?

I bought the lollipop packs and then my girls brought them in for their classmates when we got home. I also picked up a teacher "gift" of packaged candies. I got this stuff in downtown disney at the world of disney store.

another vote for the rice krispie treats, especially those with the icing! YUM! i told my sister she needed to get them to use up our snacks. she went along. and then later said i was totally right--they were SO good!

I've learned to pack zip-loc bags to carry home my rice crispy treats. The quart-size work well, considering you need them to hold your liquids on the plane anyway, you may well pack extra.

All the above and more! We just came back and had so many snack credits left on our QSDP. We brought home a lot of fudge from Goofy's and the candy shop on Main St. in MK. Wish i brought some cookies home from the place in Frontierland in MK that sells candy, fudge and cookies. I'm not sure of the name. We loved the sugar cookie there, as it was kind of a doughy tasting cookie.

If you buy treats ahead of time that you are worried about melting, just check in a suitcase or bag with luggage services until you leave. That is what we did. We had them hold all our carry on items, both in bags and a suitcase with no problem. It doesn't matter that you are putting them in a car later.

I just read on another post that the rice crispy treats in the case at Goofy's is no longer considered a snack. Not sure about the other treats in the case. Can anyone confirm this? If that's true, there's no need to go to DD. I'll do all my souvie shopping in the parks.

The pre packaged Mickey rice crispies are okay as a credit. It is the rice crispy treats that you get to chose your toppings at Goofy's candy shop that are not a snack credit, at least that is the way it was last year.:goodvibes

We had a 6:15pm flight home and wondered DTD after checkout before heading for the airport. We had all of our snack credits left on our cards. We did the deluxe plan and were so full fro mour meals, we neer used them,

6 of us x 7 night x 2 snack credits per night = 84 snacks!!!

I convinced my family to take the boat over to Goofy's (we were at Virgin). My mother said she would rather not go, it was hot, she was tired etc..etc.. Eyes rolling the whole way, she went.

So we get there and eyes wide open, see all the yummy things inside. My mother, still rolling her eyes, not wanting to be there at all, said none of us should be eating junk like that (did I mention she is 72 and Im in my 40's!! I think I can make my own junk food decisions!) and she didnt want anything. She said "Ill just wait outside". So, she waited by the dock area and I hit the fudge jackpot. I filled a huge Disney box with chocolate fudge and thought it would be a great thing to bring to the office and share with my coworkers. I used 50 credits on the fudge and the kids each picked out a snack and a drink to bring to the airport.

We get back to the boat to head to the car and my mother asks what I bought. I told her about the fudge for the coworkers. She said "Oh my goodness, what a great idea, I wish I thought of that, Im not bringing anything back to my coworkers etc..etc..etc.." Me and my big mouth said "Do you want the fudge?" In 1/4 of a second she said "Sure" and grabbed it from me!

Live and learn...

Needless to say, I will be back getting fudge, but from what I read, you cant get it at Goofy's anymore, only Main St Conf. in the MK.

Loved the Minnie's Bake Shop individual big cookies. We didnt use many credit so everyday i stocked up on some to bring home.

I was there last Thanksgiving, and pretty much everything in the case...if I remember correctly...could be used with a snack credit.

The packaged Goofy candy is packaged well and my kids love the sours. Also, we got some of the kettle corn this time, and some of the cotton candy in the small tubs.

I could have written this. Last year we brought home some of the Goofy sours and a few tubs of that yummy cotton candy. We also brought home some of the chocolate dipped rice krispie Mickey heads. It was fun munching on all these and remembering our trip!

I'm having withdrawal catching up on the latest posts here! Last piece of fudge, bit by bit, gotten eaten yesterday-by me of course!:sad2:

Thanks to everyone for the great information on this thread. There are some really good options. One additional question - do places like Goofy's and MK Bakery provide "to go" containers to support our treasured treats, or is everything just put in a bag?

At the resorts, we've brought home, in addition to what's already been mentioned: Any of the Mickey candy bars, Pop Tarts, bags of chips, M&Ms, Skittles, Pez, and the little containers of "Little Bites" snacks, like the Mickey head shaped goldfish type crackers.

My DH and DD LOVE chocolate chip cookies...where is Minnie's Bake shop?

Thanks :goodvibes

I don't think there is an actual Minnies Bake shop. The Minnies Bake Shop items are sold at various gift shops. They are prepackaged baked goods and from what I understand are excellent. :)
Another thing we always use a snack credit for to take home is a bag of two of some gummy item (bears, cherryies, alphabets..etc) from Germany. DS7 would choose gummy *anything* over chocolate any day. ;)
