Best Show on TV - Poll

I hate TV programming in general, but I can stomach Glee.

There needs to be an "other". I've never seen any of the shows listed, so I can't comment on them. The only thing I watch much of on TV is college football.

Of those on the list, my favorite is Leverage. However, the shows DH and I look most forward to watching each week are NCIS (original) and Castle.

Other than Supernatural which is the coolest show on reg. TV, BIG BANG is hilarious.

Other than Walking Dead, I do not watch any of the other shows. I tried watching some of them in the past, however lather, rinse, repeat. They are boringly tedious to me afterwhile.

I love Bones. I got hooked on that after I watched NCIS reruns for the zillionth time.

I guess NCIS should rank up there too, just for the eye candy factor.

Although Friday Night Lights is my second favorite show and I hate that it never got the following it deserved, my all time favorite show is Sons of Anarchy.

This season's finale was so intense that I was actually yelling out loud at the TV. I needed a valium after watching it.

Never understood the draw to CSI, when you can watch the real thing on Forensic Files.

I never saw any of these either but I'm not crazy about hour long scripted shows. The only ones I've cared about is Lost and the Event.

Huh, I watch a LOT of TV, but this is not a top list to me. Out of this group DEXTER is by far the best- an amazingly well written show that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Glee is enjoyable, but not the best of the best.

If we are only talking about dramas I guess my favorites are Big Love, Dexter, and Friday Night Lights.

But I really look forward to 30 Rock and How I Met Your Mother to keep me laughing

Once upon a time I would have said House (used to be my absolute favorite show), but it's not as good as it used to be. The only other show on that list that I watch is Glee, but I wouldn't put it as the best show on tv.

Comedies have really stepped up their game in the past few years. I've found that this season all of my favorites are comedies. Community, Raising Hope, How I Met Your Mother, The Middle, Modern Family...I guess I'm just looking to have a good laugh these days.

For me, Mad Men wins hands down.

For an all-around show, Hawaii Five-0 would be near the top of my list. It has everything:
*INCREDIBLE casting... this is what locked me in on it. The relationship between Alex O and Scott Caan is the best on TV. Nothing even comes close, IMO
*Good storylines that don't creep me out (yes, I'm talking to you CSI: Wherever)
*The best theme song for a TV show EVER
*Beautiful scenery
*Humor

All that being said, I'm surprised you didn't include NCIS and The Mentalist. I know those are wickedly popular. And if that horrific show known as Glee is on the list, Chuck should be too

Why is Criminal Minds, missing from your poll?

It wins the Wed nite time slot for viewers and rating each week.

Glee, which made your poll, actually moved from Wed nite, across from Criminal Minds, because it couldn't compete in that time slot.
Take that Glee. Although, I do watch it now that it's on Tues.

The "Farewell to J.J." episode pulled in the most viewers of almost all the CM episodes.

Criminal Minds has been part of an ongoing eBay fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. This auction for A.J. Cook's autographed, personal copy of her script for her Farewell to "JJ" episode came in at a whopping $1,475.00!!! 23 bids! (Compared to some other scripts where the high bid was only $15.)

From this poll, it looks like Thomas Gibson is set to win the Under-appreciated Entertainer of the Year Award.

For the first time, Criminal Minds has made it as a nominee for The People's Choice Awards, due to Joe Mantegna's (Rossi) Twitter campaign, which brought various CM fans rallying for the show. It wasn't even on the list for possible nomination. People had to manually write it in as a choice for nomination. And the power & numbers of CM fans did it! It's an official nominee!


Joe Mantegna's Twitter was ranked as #43 of most popular/successful Twitter feeds several weeks ago.


To top it all off, a new Criminal Minds SPIN-OFF has been filming as a mid season replacement. Here is a picture of the cast:

Clearly, Criminal Minds would have beat every other show in your poll.

. . . and NO, it is not like CSI, or one of those other shows.
