we're thinking of going back to london the end of june.... there will be 9 of us, most of the girls will be 11, and us adults as well!

:)

we've narowed our choice down to the following, which do you think is best for both kids and families?

we will rock you
hairspray

the lion king

billy eliot

sound of music

marry poppins

it's a tale based on the wizard of oz and the wicked witch who isn't really wicked!! it really is very good and has been getting fantastic reviews you would not be disappointed, look up wickedthemusical.co.uk you can get a real good deal on tickets as well, we paid just over £60 total for 3 of us and we had seats near the front.

I have heard some of the songs from Wicked and it sounds like it would be Wicked:rotfl:

I would love to see that or We will rock you

The last show we saw was The Lion King - which we really enjoyed

we will rock you is an amazing show!, and you don't even have to like queen to enjoy it (the story is fantastic) and there's a few original songs there too!

yeah...lion king is cool, although it's moving on soon (wizard of oz is coming to london in sted)

thanks all...gonna look wicked up now..see what i can find!

:thumbsup2 my DD11 went to see we will rock you with her friend and loved it

They all have good reviews.

We went to the Lion King and I'm ashamed to say I cried as soon as the music started as it was so overwhelming. If you are able to go to an evening performance I would reccommend that over a matinee. My DD was 10 when we saw Lion King at a matinee but there were lots of much younger children in the audience who were rather noisy.

I have seen 4 from your list...and will be seeing Hairspray at the end of July (haven't seen Billy Elliott). In my opinion from your list I think I would pick we will rock you, but as already suggested I would seriously consider Wicked.....it is probably the best musical on in the west end at the moment.

Personally I wouldn't take them to Billy Elliot as there is tons of swearing, I know my girls (10 & 11) would love Hairspray but they both want to really see Grease!

good plan libby, i prefer evening performances anyway.

we usually get the train to london, have a day at the atractions, then go see the show.

and as for dinner...tend to like the rainfroest cafe
