I know it is all opinion and everyone has their own, but just booked OKW for the 1st time.

Can't wait to try it out. They asked if I had any requests and not b eing familar with the resort I said know, figuring I would ask here.

What are some of the areas that people like and why?

Thanks

We like the Turtle Pond area for its quietness and away from it all feeling. There is a bus stop nearby if you are relying on Disney busses, and there is a quiet pool that is also nearby.

We also like Turtle pond area for the quiet pools and quietness of the general area. We also liked bldg 55 since it has a river view and the walking trail to SSR/DTD right nearby.

I also like Turtle Pond Road, it's quiet. Especially buildings 37 or 43, they have great water views and there is no bus route right outside.

Our preference is either South Point or Miller's Road. Miller's has some buildings that are very close access to the Hospitality House area, and South Point has those wonderful buildings 45 nd 46 right on the canal! That's our favorite!

I haven't made a request, for numerous trips, and have always liked our location.

There are a few areas we like. South Point is great for water views - bldgs. 55, 45, 46 specifically. Turtle Pond is really nice too - quiet, nice pool area with snack bar open in busy seasons. Close to Hospitality is great if you want to be within walking distance of shopping, check-in and restaurant. It is all a matter of taste/preference. A few of the buildings on Miller have elevators if that is important. We've stayed at all the different areas and all have their pros/cons. Check out the resort map. Also, some folks like to be within close walking distance of a bus stop if they don't have a car.

My only request is to be by a quiet pool and the BBQ grills which we use often. The kids love to go to the main pool during the day but after dinner or before bed it's nice to take a swim, especially in the summer, in a more peacefull setting.
