Best secret for preserving a Xmas tree in the house.....

Our Little League sells Xmas trees every year as a fundraiser and every year you hear everyones secret for keeping the tree fresh...Here is one I never heard before tonight!

So this old fella steps in and buys a Xmas Tree at the Little League sale. Usually we bring the tree over and cut a few inches off the bottom to help the tree suck up water. The old guys says no need he has a secret for keeping his tree watered. He drills a hole in the bottom and stuffs a tampon in, that absorbs the water and helps preserve the tree!

That is the best one I've ever heard!

We have an "artificial" tree. I am allergic to the "real thing." Took my mom years to figure out why I was sick every year at Christmas
