I was wondering if there are better spots then others to sit or stand for the parades? I want to try to set up my camcorder on my tripod and also take still pictures. I am thinking I want to be a little elevated, but not sure where to go. Any ideas?

After many years of WDW visits, one spot stands out for us -- the top of the train station (althought it might be too elevated for you). One caveat - you need to get there VERY EARLY to snag a bench. But if you do, you will have no one standing in front of you! ;)

Another thought - the porch area right outside of Tony's Town Square Cafe -with the added bonus of rocking chairs! It is a few steps higher, but not as high as the railroad station. Again, you can't wait until the last minute...but it is undercover if the weather changes! :)

We usually sit/stand in Frontierland across from where the riverboat docks. The stores/restaurants have elevated porches so if you are there early enough you could set-up on one of them. It is much less crowded than Main Street and if you are lucky you can find a place to sit.

Thanks Beccasmom... That is the exact location that I stood last year when we went... it works out great, and gives me the elevation I was wanting... And NJ Goofy, i never thought about that location... i think i will scout out a spot in Frontier Lnad next time I go... That would make a great video spot...
