Best Seafood?

They have 1 shrimp appetizer, entree choices of crab cakes, salmon or shrimp pasta, and thats the dinner menu!

Lunch drops the crab cakes/salmon in favor of tuna salad and a crab sandwich. Hardly lots of stuff for seafood lovers.

I will give you this, the sandwich isnt bad along with a bowl of chowder, but other than that, its a complete waste of a credit and dinner is a total rip-off. I would rather have a tuna sandwich and bowl of chowder for half the price or without using the dining credit at Columbia Harbor House.

The thing that makes this restuarant even worse, is there is no longer a steak option, just pot roast.

They've never had a large menu, like I said, or much to choose from. Guess it's just a difference in taste, I've never had a bad meal there ever, and their crab cakes are really good. Thankfully I don't have to deal with the dining plan :(

Avoid Cap'n Jacks. The place is a dive. There are dead flies stuck in the window sills, the pasta is like paste, and the lobster was like rubber. For better seafood then theirs I highly suggest the fish filet at McD's. It is much tastier then any crap you will get at Cap'n Jacks.

I agree with Webray, Pakey and Robert P. --Flying Fish or Blue Zoo. But that isn't to say you can't get a good seafood entree at another spot. Just those two have the best combination of offerings.

I think bluezoo, narcoossee's, and flying fish - in that order. We did all three last summer - I think they are all reviewed in our trip report (link in my sig). In a nutshell, bluezoo is downright outstanding, narcoossee's has moved way up my ratings and flying fish was a really good experience. You can see that they are all great, but for me there is a little distinction.

We ate at Narcoossee's 2 weeks ago and I had the crab crusted flounder and a Caesar salad. The fish was superb and I loved the Caesar dressing (with anchovies on request). The pomegranate martini was tasty and they have a very nice wine list. My husband and I shared the Warm Chocolate Almond Gateau and a pot of french press coffee for dessert. It was delicious and the chocolate exceptional. There is a wonderful view of the Magic Kingdom from the restaurant. Our waiter was top notch. Our bill was very little more than I've paid on Disney property for mediocre food and mediocre service. I would definitely go back to Narcoossee's.

Flyin Fish was amazing! I had the best salmon there that I have ever had!

I agree! Best salmon I've ever had as well! It was my DH who ordered it, but I traded entrees with him and finished it! :rolleyes1

Citricos and Flying Fish. Blue Zoo did have good fish, but overall not a great dining experience compared to the other two.

I'd love to hear why. I have been to bluezoo on a number of occasions, and they have never disappointed. At Flying Fish, I felt a little like I was being served banquet food. Good banquet food - but.....well.....hard to explain, I guess. Citricos is a great dining experience, but I wouldn't classify them as a seafood restaurant - albeit any seafood they serve is sure to be great.

Our Blue Zoo experience was not totally bad, it was more a comedy of errors. We actually had to move tables twice. The first one was their fault, the next because I accidentally sent a bottle of Pellagrino flying across the table.

The wine list was fantastic and the appetizers were phenomenal but from there it went downhill foodwise and we were dissapointed in every course afterwards.

Our server was nice, but didn't know much about food or wine. When we go out for fine dining, we love to hear their opinions on the food and be able to suggest wines, because we always love to try something new. Our server was very uncomfortable with any questions that we had.

So for a meal that was over $200, it didn't wow me enough to return for dinner. I would go sit in the bar and have a bottle of wine and a couple of appetizers.

At Citricos, the food is always great and we have a regular server that we have a blast with and he always chooses the best pairings and we are at the point with him that we can let him choose our entire meal and it is always a fantastic experience.

At Flying Fish, we usually get the special which never dissapoints and we have had good luck so far with service from all the seasoned servers.
