Best route MCO to OKW ???

Any OKW experts can give me the best route from Orlando Int'l Airport (MCO) to OKW. We rented a car and never drove before. Thanks so much.

If you follow the signs for 417 West (The Greenway), you will arrive at WDW in about 25-30 minutes. Your rental car company will also give you a map most likely.

We go up to the AKL tollbooths and turn around, We have been doing that since they changed the resort groupings five or six years ago.

I think there is a way to get there without the u-turn at the AKL tool booths.

I agree with Snowgod, take the south exit out of the airport to 417 (south I think). You will go through 2 tollbooths, $1 each. Take the exit 6, International Drive/Downtown Disney. You will be on 536, keep going straight until you go under the WDW Arch and take the next exit for Downtown Disney. At the light go straight and you will see the turn for Old Key West (second light). Everything is well marked with signs. Welcome Home!

I agree, use 417 and exit 6, except, once you pass under the arch, the 3 rd exit takes you right to OKW. At the end of the ramp, at the light, just go straight across, OKW is the 2nd right, about 1/8 of a mile.

You're right, I forgot about the third exit. I discovered it by mistake when the second exit was closed when we stayed at BWV last year.

Hee hee. We almost always take I-4 from the airport to OKW. I love seeing all the billboards and hotels. It makes me feel like I'm somewhere special!

On the way home though, we usually take 417. The big drawback of 417 if you have a rental car though is that there are NO gas stations near the airport. It takes some planning ahead for gas.
