Coming to Disney from a hotel in Gainesville on Nov 18th. We will be arriving in Orlando around 8am or 9am, latest. What is the best route to take to get to Disney? In the past we have just taked the turnpike to 4 and then down and back to WDW. I'm a little concerned with rush hour timing this trip. Would it be best to continue on that route or take either 27 or 545 off of the turnpike and in to WDW that way? I am not familiar with how many traffic lights or congestion there is that way. Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I live right off 27, and half to take it to get anywhere. Even during morning rush it's not bad between the Turnpike and 192. Be careful on the exit ramp onto 192, it's a sharper curve than it looks.

If you want to stop for some bottled water or other groceries, there's a couple Publix's you'll pass once you get off onto 27. One is as you are coming up on the Citrus Tower, another is about four miles further down right after the entrance to King's Ridge. Neither are "tourist" grocery stores. There's also a Super Wal-Mart about a mile north of 192. All three stores will be on the left.

There are maybe a dozen traffic lights, if that, between the Turnpike and 192, and a bit of congestion as you near 192 by Wal-Mart, bit far less than you'll hit on I-4.

Once you are on 192, drive until you see the large miles marker 5 sign, and then prepare to make a left onto Sherberth. Follow to the light and make a right and you'll be on Osceola Parkway and can follow the signs to whereever you need to go.
