Best Romantic Restaurants

DH and I are going to WDW in September for our 2nd honeymoon. It's really more like a first one because we never really had one when we were married almost 11 years ago.

Anyway, I would love to book a few romantic dinners for the two of us and could really use some good ideas from you guys. We both love steak, not big seafood eaters, but I don't mind shrimp on occasion.

So, what are the BEST romantic restaurants for my husband and I? We will be using the free dining plan but the restaurants do no have to come from that list.
Thanks in advance :flower:

We are a childless couple so we love going to romantic restaurants at Disney, and there are many. Our faves:

Artist Point
Yachtsman Steakhouse (since you guys like steak)
Blue Zoo Chefs de France
California Grille
Le Cellier
Narcoosee's

Some suggestions for you. Enjoy!

My dh and I went to Bistro on our last trip. It was so romantic and nice. The food was awesome and the server was wonderful and very knowledgable. We are definitly going back here.

Our Favorite Romantic Places:

1. Narcoossee's @ Grand Floridian - great view of electric water parade
2. Flying Fish @ The Boardwalk Inn
3. Kimonos @ The Swan (Best Sushi/Sashimi in Disney World)

Enjoy your trip! and Happy Anniversary :sunny:

Le Cellier has delicious steak and so does the Yachtsman's but I dont consider them romantic because of the noise levels- Try Artist Pointe at the Wilderness Lodge and ask for a table against the big picture windows- IMO this place is gorgeous and more "romatic" than the other two- try the buffalo steak!! ( and the wines are great too) (never been to Narcooses at the Grand Floridian). Also California Grill is wonderful- but also very noisy- they do have some nice tables against the windows- but if you get seated in the middle of things- I dont consider that romantic.

If cost is not an issue,(we are talking $$$$) then we reccommend Victoria & Albert's at the GF. It is truly a wonderful fine dining experience. You will definately need a ressie as tables are usually booked 90 days out, which depending on when you are going is right about now. PM us if you have any questions, we can also show you a review thread that might tempt your taste buds.

Good luck and happy honeymooning, Again :goodvibes

I just got back from my honeymoon there...I posted a review of all the table services we ate at (romantic and not so romantic)...check it out :)

For just the two of you I'd recommend any of three places:

Victoria & Alberts
Artist Point
Yachtsman Steakhouse

The first two are very romantic, with the Yachtsman being close behind, especially if your reservation is for a bit later in the evening.

Thanks so much for all the suggestions. I've been looking at some of the menus on Allears and all of them look so GOOD! The ones that interest me the most are Artist Point, Yachtsman and Narcoossee's.

I would go for Artist Point. It is a lovely restaurant with great food. I had the salmon last time and it was the best I'd eaten. My ex-dh had steak and enjoyed it.

Le Cellier isn't that romantic, imho, though I enjoyed the food. Haven't been to the more expensive places like V & A or Cali Grill though.

I found Yachtsman very quiet and romantic, not a child in sight when we went ;) We had a later PS, for 8pm, that probably helped. Most of the other diners were couples or people on business. Dress was not dressy, either, unless you just want to. We were seated in a baywindow area overlooking Stormalong Bay and when Illuminations went off, we could see the higher fireworks over the buildings, which was a nice surprise! Service here was attentive but not intrusive, they knew what we needed before we asked. Steak was fabulous.

Artist Point is on our list for romantic restaurant next trip =)

If you have never experienced a AAA Five Diamond restaurant I would strongly suggest Victoria and Albert's. It may appear to be a bit on the pricey side (about $125 per person including tax and tip without the wine pairings and $190 with) but the ambiance, service and food all make it a magical experience. You may request just about any music from the harpist and she will play it. Figure on about 2.5 hours for the meal.

Normally they have about 45 people per seating with a capacity of 67; I was at the Cehf's Table about two weeks ago and the Chef said there were 49 dining during the first seating, so it is usually not difficult to get a reservation.

So many good places for romance.

My favorite is CA Grill. You can get a ressie in the small room, and watch the electric light parade (after 9:00) or Wishes at the observation deck. The castle will change colors - it's great. Food is awesome. If you like sushi, great. If you don't there are plenty of options for a great time. Try the flatbread, excellent.
If you wish, (call at least a day before), you can request a custom made anniversary cake.

Another fav is Jiko. Servers are just as knowledgeable, if not more, of the cuisine and is delicious. Flatbreads are wonderful, steak is superb and the wines are great.

DH and I like Shulas (Dolphin) over Yatchsman. Shulas' is a bit more upscale and less kids. We also think the service and steak is much better. Great martinis, as well.

Wolfgang Puck (upstairs) is very, very good. Great view of SSR and Marketplace. Food is great and so are the drinks. Servers are attentive.

After all that, I think WS is one of the most romantic places in WDW. So, if you decide to eat at EPCOT or WS you can stroll through the countries hand in hand, enjoying your second honeymoon.

Have fun. :teeth:

Every year my wife and I go on a trip by ourselves. We always go to the Yachtsman, great food and location. We have been to Narcossies, loved it. They stop the service for the fireworks at the MK. The electric light parade also passes right by it. Bistro de Paris is also a great choice, very romantic. Le Cellier is a great restaurant, but not very romantic. Have fun.

I think that any place can be romantic under the right circumstances...for example: Two years ago I was at O'hana's with an ex-DGF. Now, pretty much everyone here knows that O'hana is the least romantic place at WDW, however, we were kind of tucked away in the back corner. The timing was perfect and we just happened to be there when the lights dimmed and we had a perfect view of the fireworks across the bay at the MK. She had never been to WDW, and was completely suprised by the moment...things turned out to be VERY romantic....(and yes, we are still friends).

To all of which I'd add Citricos (right next door to V&A) and Palio at the Swan. The strolling muscians at Palio add a nice romantic touch.
BUt V&A is THE romantic spot!!

DW and I ate at a few upscale places during our Disneymoon. If I had to recommend any, I'd say Artist Point (I'm biased... it's my favorite restaurant in the World) and Yachtsman. Try for later seatings for each, however... it should make things quieter.

Narcoossee's food wasn't bad, however, the design (the high ceiling) makes it VERY noisy. Not noisy like Whispering Canyon, but a lot noisier than Yachtsman or Artist Point.

We loved Flying Fish Cafe on the Boardwalk. It is on the disney dining plan but will take 2 credits each. DH had a steak there and it was really good. I had salmon. The seafood was mostly crab or fish as I recall. They also had a veal shank. You can go look up the menu at Deb's allears website. That was our best meal there. Beautiful restaurant inside too. Great service. Pricey!
