My dh and I are going to WDW for our first trip without the kids. I think that we are going to do the regular dining plan, and I think we will be looking to eat outside the parks on the last night or have lunch on the day that we leave outside the parks.

We are pretty laid back...so, while I know that there are a lot of fancy places, I think we would be happiest with somewhere that has good food and a fun vibe. We love most kinds of food, so I'm pretty open to anything.

Suggestions???

If your looking for a 1-TS credit meal, I would go with Sanaa. If you are not looking to use any TS credits I would go with either Shula's, Citricos or Flying Fish for dinner.

Well there is certainly plenty to choose from.

Some of our favorites are Ohana, just love the food. Not a big fan of the noise, games of this restaurant but the food is great. And they have the best dessert on property IMO.
Whispering Canyon Cafe at WL is another fav. The food is very good, love the steak...mmmm mmm. DH gets the bbq skillet and looks forward to this meal every trip.

Both atmospheres are very laid back. At WCC the servers engage in antics with you, so know that. Some people like it, others hate it, I don't care either way. DH now loves it...lol. It is a race to get the gallon jar of soda before his meal arrives.

Good luck in your choices, and have a good trip!

Great suggestions! Thank you. I was looking through the threads, and saw lots of recommendations for Raglan Road. It sounds fun, but it doesn't look like they have entertainment on Sunday nights, and that is the night we are looking to go. Bummer.

I think the live music would be kind of fun...do any of the other places do something like that?

We love O'Hanna...1900 Park Fare was good too....Chef Mickeys is a favorite...

Hope this helps and have a wonderful time.

Raglan Road, Ohana, Kona are all great choices. Also, Kouzzina at the boardwalk.

Havent been to Sanaa but I heard the food and scenery (animals) are wonderful.

Oh wow there are so many.. We are trying Capt Grill, Cape May and Sanna this yr.

but so far we love Ohana, Callifornia Grill, Narcossee, Boma

Another vote for Saana here. I was just there again two weeks ago and the food was wonderful. Get the bread service -- it's fantastic. It's so nice to sit in a pretty restaurant, eat good food and look out of the windows and see the animals wandering by.

Although we've personally never had the time to try Boardwalk out yet, posters sure have wonderful things to say about the dining there as well:thumbsup2We enjoy eating in 2-3 resorts each trip to check out the facilities, grounds, and shopping:worship:

Todd English's Blue Zoo, Yachtman Steakhouse, Jiko, Sanaa, .......I could go on and on...

One of my favorites is Beaches & Cream and it's located at Disney's Beach Club Resort. The only thing is they don't accept ADR's and it's a small location, so there might be a wait if you decide to go there.
