Best restaurants for 2-yo boy

Going February 2018 with my 2-yo grandson. What restaurants would he like best?

Are you looking for character meals? If so I like Hollywood and Vine characters for little ones or Chef Mickeys, Tusker House, Garden Grille or 'Ohana for Lilo and Stitch breakfast....to name a few!

At age 2 my boys really enjoyed them all. Hollywood and Vine has Disney Junior characters which may be more recognizable to kids that age. Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh was always fun. But they also loved the attention of the princesses too so something like CRT or Akershus would be an option.

Our kids still love all of the Character meals.

Crystal Palace at MK is fun with the Winnie the Pooh characters
Also Sanaa lunch or dinner at the AKL - you can request a table at the window and watch all of the animals. Then you can go either before or after to see the animals. We make an ADR at the time it opens for dinner or for lunch and then you have a better chance of getting a window.

We recently took my son at 18 months and he loved Tusker House and Garden Grill. I think he would have liked anything with characters, but those are the 2 that we picked.

When my sons were that age, their favorites were Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace & 'Ohana (but when my sons were that age, Lilo & Stitch movies were still popular).

We went on a free dining trip with my son last year and did 3 character meals - chef Mickeys, garden grill, and crystal palace. He loved all of them, but crystal palace was the one that the adults enjoyed the most. Chef Mickeys was really fun. Garden grill had good food and service, but the character interaction was trickier bc of how the tables were set up.

TRex and Rainforest at Disney Springs might be options, unless you are looking for Disney characters.

Depends on what the child eats and the ability to sit through a meal. You may want to look up menus.

My 2 year old was afraid of the characters. Still is at almost 3 now. So if you go with a character meal, book it towards the end of the trip so that he has time to acclimate to the characters while in the parks and you can see if it'd be a disaster or not before wasting your money. I'd also book a back up non-character option.

Character meals, we like Garden Grill. It's low-key, good food and the food comes to you. Also 'Ohana breakfast is great, same idea. I don't like the character buffets since you're constantly going back forth getting food, worried you'll miss a character or miss a character interacting with your child. Another option that is really budget friendly is to head over to Trail End at Fort Wilderness. Great buffet at a super cheap (for Disney) price. Plus, right outside is a playground and each evening there's a campfire with Chip & Dale as well as movie- totally free! They've been doing it for years! I went when I was that age and now I took my kids this past trip.

Non-characters, T-rex, Whispering Canyon, 'Ohana (dinner), and Sci-Fi Dine In are our picks.
