We have never been to Disney and will be going to celebrate my son's third birthday. I was wondering if you Disney Vets could recommend the best restaurant to have dinner at on the day of his birthday to celebrate the occasion. I am planning on ordering him a cake ahead of time and bringing maybe just one present.

Will you be going to one of the parks for that day? If yes, what characters does he like?.x.

My daughter has had 3 birthdays while at Disney. Her favorite is Chef Mickeys. My favorite was the Garden Grill because she got a whole cake, not just a cupcake!!!

:cheer2:

I was gonna say Chef Mickey's, too. It's fun for a kid.

Chef Mivkey's Hands down. we did CM's for DS 4th b-day he got a birthday cupcake & a card plus they sing to him.

At three my grandson loved the Chrystle Palace at MK with Winnie the Pooh. He sang the "Winnie the Pooh" song to the tubby bear and it was a delight!!!!

Tyleraggie,

I don't have a suggestion but just wanted to say hi, I live in Marshall (assuming you live in Tyler!)

The first visit to WDW is the best! And celebrating a birthday makes it even better. I agree with others, a character meal is perfect for this occasion. Just make sure you make an ADR (advanced dining reservation). Many restaurants at WDW do not even take walk ups. You can make ADR's up to six months in advance. So depending on when your trip is, you may already be able to do this. 407-WDW-DINE is the number to call. Have fun!

You can check out this link for all the info on character meals: http://www.allearsnet.com/din/cb.htm

I love Chef Mickey's, Liberty Tree Tavern and Crystal Palace for dinner. You cannot go wrong with any of those.

Chef Mickey's! You can order a whole cake in advance with a picture of Mickey Mouse on it! :thumbsup2

My lil sis just celebrated her 8th b-day there...it's awesome! :goodvibes

I'd also say Chef Mickey's and when you make your ADR mention that you are celebrating your childs birthday. Also mention it with your hotel reservation that you will be celebrating a birthday and they will usually have a card sent to the room and sometimes balloons from the character. We did this for my daughter's 13th birthday and they just did it with no charge.

Have a great time making those precious memories.

Thanks for your responses! I think we are going to go to Chef Mickey's. We are staying at WL and I think we can take a boat the the Contemporary. Also, my son watches Mickey Mouse Clubhouse every morning, so he knows and loves the characters there. I haven't reached my 180 days yet, but I will make my reservations when it arrives. Thanks Again!

Hi Javamoma, I do live in Tyler.

Absolutely Chef Mickey's. My family's all time best memory for my son's birthday.
