I've always loved the Electric Water Pagent. This year I'd really like to see it at Poly Villas or VGF (BLT just doesn't appeal to me). Which resort and which view (standard or lake view?)

If you want to see it from your room, you'll want BLT Lake view. On our last trip, we got to see then perform twice per night, although the second performance required leaning out and looking left...

I doubt that the view from Poly's lake view rooms is going to afford you a view of EWP because of the bungalows unless you are on the top floor, and even then I doubt the view would be good.

I’m not sure of the view from VGF lake view villas, but you can walk out to the GF boat dock to watch it as well as the MK fireworks (with music piped in). Similarly, you can walk out to the Poly beach for a great view of both.

I know you didn’t list but BRV and WlL have awesome views of the EWP. We stayed at BRV and had a room facing the lake(but didn’t book a water view, just a woods)and we could sit on our balcony and watch it go right by and the music is piped in very loudly as well. You can also be enjoying a drink at Geyser Point as it goes by
Sorry if this is out of left field since you didn’t mention it :ssst:

We stayed at BRV and we just walked out to the area by geyser point and watched it from there. The cabins blocked our view from the first floor but higher floors might be able to see it from the room

We've stayed at BLT, BRV & PVB all with a lake view room. I would say our best view was from BRV, because it felt like we were closer to the parade. The views from BLT & PVB were fine as well. We had a 2nd floor room at PVB and the bungalows did not obstruct our view at all.

VGF you can't hear the music from your rooms, the show is in front of the boat docks. For Poly, we just went out to the sidewalk facing the water and could hear/watch it well. View was fine from BLT, but still enjoyed seeing it better from ground level vs. our 16th floor room! BRV used to have more obstructions and you had to go to the beach to watch it--not sure what it's like at CCV and BRV now--but I just prefer going to the sidewalks by the water and watching it. All but VGF you can hear the music from most spots by the water!

It's pretty awful from many of the Poly lakeview rooms now because the Bungalows block the view of the water. If you got 3rd floor you'd be fine. Probably even 2nd floor. But ground floor is a no go. VGF lakeview might be better to watch what is actually the presentation for PVB. That's not great though either. CCV inner courtyard view might be the better option to be able to watch it from otherwise you really still need to go out somewhere around the resorts for the best views. If you want to listen to it then you'll hear it at any of them!

Gee, maybe BLT appeals to me a little more now.

I didn't comment on BLT because you said you didn't want that but it probably has the best view if you get the right room. If not there is the little beach area just next to BLT with a bench or two that is very enjoyable to watch it from and very close.

FYI - I was looking for something else and ran across my picture of the EWP from a VGF ground floor lakeview studio. I wasn't trying to get a good one at the time so excuse the quality - just to show what you can see. It is actually doing it's performance for Poly at this point.

That's beautiful!

And at BLT, I DO like benches, if not a room view. But I guess it all depends, partly, on what might be available at 7 months for September.

I stayed in a Poly lake view studio a few years ago (2nd floor) and had a great view of the EWP and the MK fireworks. Either Poly or BLT would be good choices.
