Best resort for kids...?

Hi everyone! Dh and I are planning our second trip to the World next year, and we will be staying 3 days before we go on our cruise.

We were wondering which resort we should stay at, there are so many to cchose from! My DD is 8, and my DS is 6. Price isn't really an issue, but they would really love a wonderful pool area!

Any suggestions?

Since you're only there a short time, you should stay close to the park you'll visit the most.

With little ones, I'm guessing you'll be at MK the most. If so, I'd really recommend the Wilderness Lodge. We just returned for a stay there. We loved loved it! It has 2 pools, one with a water slide (much faster than it looks!). There is also a kiddie pool if your little ones can't swim yet. It's very nice taking the boat from WL to MK.

We've also stayed at CR. It's a wonderful hotel too. Has a nice pool area, but no kiddie pool.

If you're going to spend most of your time at Epcot/Mgm, there are lots of resorts there. I haven't stayed at any, so I can't recommend one.

I'd pick the poly. Great pool my DS 4, loved it & the Whole resort. you can sit at the beach & watch the Water parade.

We stayed at the CR and loved it. We have 3 kids and they thought the arcade was fantastic. The closeness to the parks can't be beat. It was great place to stay. They have pools, nothing fancy, but fun.

The Beach Club/Yacht Club has the best pool! Stormalong Bay is huge and has sooooo much to do! Plus it's within walking distance from Epcot and MGM.

If you want to be closer to MK, I'd recommend Wilderness Lodge because the atmosphere is great for kids and the pool is fun as well!

we love the WL and i would have suggested that one for sure but the pool thing got me. either the lodge or beach-yacht club would be a good choice.

I have two children also.... my favorite deluxe resorts are the Poly, YC, and the GF. Think about which parks you'll be spending the most time at... and also look at the pools and restaurants. You really can't go wrong with any of them. Just go by which theme appeals to you most.

POLY POLY POLY

My kids love this place - it is so convenient - the volcano pool is great - Captain Cooks has ok food for late at night - the marina is great - and the staff loves kids and is sooo nice. We have stayed several times - starting when the kids were 3, 6 and 9 - last time they were 8, 11, and 14. A great time was had by all!

We just got back yesterday from 4 nights at GF and 5 nights at VWL! We loved WL!!! I have a ds6 and this is now his favorite resort! We have stayed at Poly, Cont., GF x2, BCV, and AKL. WL is now definately where we will return on our next trip! It is soooo relaxing! My ds loved the pool and the slide. It is also convienent to MK. The ambience of this resort is great! I can't imagine any kid not loving it!

I recommend the Polynesian. It's easy to get to both MK and Epcot plus having the other monorail resorts so close by is nice too. Plus it's magical for a kid to be able to see the castle so easily.
