Ok I know something for little ones and great for an anniversary

Currently booked at Pofq not sure if im feeling it

Choices
Carribean beach prefered room

Love the pool and beaches and zero entry
Not crazy about no elevators or bad reviews about being musty or moldy

Port Orleans Riverside
Royal room garden view

Love the room like the theming and lots of quiet pools

Again some unsavory reviews and no beaches

Coranado spring Business level

Love the coveniece of lounge and the pool looks really neat has the beaches

Not a lot of kids appeal and kinda of not close to anything

We will have our own car so will be driving to the parks

Based on your kids ages I will say POFQ, even though as you say, you are not feeling it.

The resort itself is small and easy to navigate. The dragon slide is perfect for children your age. It's quiet and we love, love, love the boat to DTD! :thumbsup2

Riverside would be my second choice since you are not relying on buses, but you could still take the boat to DTD. Plus the counter service restaurant has lots of choice and the food is yummy!

CBR and CS both seem too large and spread out for me. I might give CBR a try if and when they get queensize beds (instead of doubles).

Good luck and FWIW I totally get it when people second guess their resort choices. :)

My choice would be to keep what you've got or go with POR. We prefer POR to POFQ due to liking the Mansions theming a bit more than the NOLA feel of POFQ.

UNLESS your little ones are huge "Pirates" fans, then the pirate rooms at CBR are the way to go.

Thanks everyone i noticed no one says to go for Coranado?
I do like the mansions at POR but not sure if I want to spend 300 more for a royal room?

You can put in a request for the mansions, only Oak and Parterre have RR's while Magnolia and Acadian do not. But of course, still a chance of having your room in the AB section.

We love Coronado. It is a large resort so if you choose to stay there, look at a map before requesting a section. We stayed in Cabanas the last 2 times and loved it. The pool and Dig Site are awesome too! The resort has it's own buses which we love, where POR and POFQ share.

This time we will be staying at POR as my parents are going too and it is their favorite resort. We like to try new places too. Can't go wrong anywhere in Disney IMO!

For Mod I would suggest a Royal Room at POR the theming is fantastic and the mansions are gorgeous! You'll love the food court and the boat to DTD!

one your kids will love is all star music it is a value but we love it! Clean, cute theming especially for kids and if you want more room book a family suite!

Even better is a resort on the monorail line so you can zip back to your resort for afternoon breaks to swim or nap and zip back go the park! Cuts ways down on travel time!! My DH and I take trips w/o the teens and always try to stay in MK for that reason b/c we like to go back and swim and hang by the pool for about 2 hours then shower head back to the parks for the evening!

I know your driving but the monorail would still be faster and I bet kids would love riding it! You could still drive to AK and HS!
