Best resort at Christmas

I think you should stay at your favorite resort no matter what the decorations are and tour all the others for fun instead of the parks one day.

For Deluxe, Wilderness Lodge is hard to beat! We also love the feeling of Yacht Club at Christmastime -- the lights on the posts outside and the train in the lobby. WL feels grand, Yacht feels cozy. For us, at least

For Moderate, I love how the French Quarter lobby is decorated -- it's so unique and bright!

I haven't stayed at a value during the holidays.

Coronado is beautiful at Christmas, but that's really an individual preference thing. Each resort will theme their tree and decorations to be unique. Pop! always has a beautiful display of nostalgic ornaments and decorations. Beach and Yacht are impressive. Grand Floridian is classic, but not my cup of tea (pun intended). It's just what might YOU like that is undeterminable. Certainly, there's no BAD resort at Christmas.

Stayed at Wilderness a few years back and it was amazing. The huge lobby with the giant Christmas tree was gorgeous. We visited the other deluxe resorts, all beautifully decorated. Would like to plan another Christmas stay once we get get back to normal, if we ever do.

We did a split stay last Christmas at Wilderness Lodge (Copper Creek) and Coronado. GDT had a great tree, but wasn't as grand as the deluxe obviously. I LOVED Wilderness Lodge. I would get up early in the morning and read by the tree in the lobby. It was so relaxing and the perfect start to my day. We also love AKL- Jambo House and always have to check out Grand Floridian, Yacht, and Beach. We love spending time going to as many resorts as possible to see decorations. We rented a golf cart for a day at Fort Wilderness to see what people did there. It was fun to do once, but I don't think we'll do again.

We are booked gran destino mid December, contemplating switching to boardwalk or poly. What are everyone’s fav resort at Christmas time?

Everyone has a favorite but for me staying at the Grand Floridian during Christmas is magical. (But then again this is my favorite resort.)

The coronado is very nice at Christmas. The boardwalk has great decorations inside and out. Decorations were very tropical at the poly and a bit underwhelming. No matter where you stay Christmas is very magical at Disney. Make sure to at least visit all of the deluxe resorts.
