Best rates for the Marriott Resorts?

Does anyone know how to get a good rate at any of the Marriott resorts? TIA

Only discounts I have used were the Gov't. rate or AAA discount. You can join the Marriott rewards program, but no discount until you stay about a 1,000 times!!

You'd probably do best renting from someone who owns time there. I've never seen rentals there on the retail market that were very good deals. Try ebay, tug, or redweek to see if you can find something. Here are redweek's listings for Grand Vista to give you an idea:

You have to pay a very nominal fee to use redweek listings. I think it's around $10.

I have found that the Marriott website has the best prices, and will often just lower the prices with no announcements, or fanfare.

I was all prepared to spend over 300 per night for a 2 bed/2 bath room at the Grande Vista, and then just by checking there website everyday, I got it for 199 per night.

It also depends on when you are going. They sometimes offer member rates to their rewards members. To check if they are available just type M11 in the promo code on their website when you check dates. It will also show you if these rates are available at alternate resorts.

We have saved a lot of money at Marriotts over the years by doing this. Good luck

The Marriott website it the best place for deals. Click under their specials and deal thingy and just keep putting the promotional codes.

AAA is usually about 10% cheaper that rack rate. It may be worth your while to join AAA.
