Can anyone tell me what the best rate (standard view -- room only) you ever got at either the Dolphin or WL was? I will definitely have an AP, and I'm thinking that will be my best bet for a good rate. Other than that, the only codes that would be applicable would be for "anyone" or "Canadians".

I am planning to stay at one of these hotels when I am there for the 1/2 marathon in 2005 and will be staying for 8 nights, checking in Jan 6th.

Thanks in advance for the help ... I know I cannot depend on getting, for example, an AP rate, but I would like to be able to compare when the "codes and deals" start coming out.

maryliz,

Best rate I'll received for WL, Value season, Standard View for $109.00 + tax=$121.53. This was Florida Resident rate, which is the same as the AP rate..I was upgraded to Inner Courtyard View at check-in. Hope this helps.

We had the $99 rate at the Dolphin in December. We were also upgraded and had a wonderful view of the boardwalk area.

In January 2003 we had a rate of $119 per night for a standard view at the Wilderness Lodge but we were upgraded to a "woods view" which was really a view of the Wilderness Lodge Villas, still very nice. We learned about the code to use to get that rate through mousesavers.com.

We had 109.00 for WL in Sept. 99.00 for Dolphin in Dec. I think the Dolphin was a Canadian deal. The WL was definitely Fla Res.

We had a $109 rate for a standard room. (It was upgraded to a courtyard view.) This was back in May 2002 and was a regular discount code not a Fla. resident..

In May 2003 we got the WL using a CM discount rate and we only paid $154 including tax. Fantastic!

Dolphin August 2002 -- $129 teacher rate and got a comp upgrade to Club Level.

Swan July 2003 --- spg cash and points for 3 nights = $60 + 4000 points per night + teacher rate for the last night. Comp upgraded to jr. suite with balcony and not charged for last night.

Mouseteacher:

How many points do you have to have to get to the club level? What is the difference for the club level? Are the rooms bigger? When do you ask for it prior to arriving or upon arrival? We also get this great rate that you do. Do they frown upon you asking for an upgrade when we are already getting such a great rate? Thanks in advance for your help.

We just obtained at $69.00 a night rate for July 21-24, 2004 using Priceline. They gave us the Dolphin, I am sure this will be a standard run of the house room!
