Best QUIET hotel in the DLR area?

+1 for CCI. Great customer service and the private shuttle (runs on time!) is a big plus. And premium rooms come with bathrobes, amenities basket, and breakfast delivered to your room.

I 2nd the suggestion to bring ear plugs. Or download some white noise music to your phone and use that to drown out the outside noise.

I also am very sensitive to sounds when I travel. I put a white noise machine on one side of my bed and then use my ipad with a white noise app on the other side AND wear ear plugs.

Travel white noise machine (works fine with just batteries or you can plug it in): https://www.amazon.com/HoMedics-SS-2000G-Relaxation-Machine-Nature/dp/B00A2JBMRE

These air plugs are soft enough to sleep with. I usually just put one in the ear that is not on the pillow - or both ears if it's extra noisy: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008MCU8M8/

The white noise machine works wonders, it'll easily drown out the traffic noise. Perhaps you could buy the noise machine and ear plugs now so he gets used to them.

We always stay at the FFI on the 5th floor in the corner (overlooking the adjacent water park) away from foot traffic, elevators, etc.. and I do fine.
