Hi all...I am looking for opinions about the best QS lunches in each park that fit the DDP. Variety beyond the traditional kids meal options (chicken fingers, fries) a huge plus. Looking to please mom, dad, 7,4, and 2 year old.
Thanks!
Flame Tree BBQ at Ak, Columbia Harbor House at MK, pretty much the whole World Showcase at Epcot...
I find DHS to have the worst food. It's pretty much just burgers, fries, and pizza.
MK--Cosmic Ray's--They have wraps/sandwiches that are a nice variety.
Epcot--Sunshine Seasons for their salads or the San Angel Cantina in Mexico
AK--Flame Tree has decent BBQ (and this is coming from a Kansas City girl...where we are pretty snobby about BBQ )
DHS--Backlot Express?? This park has the least variety, in my opinion.
We have never tried Fairfax Fare, but are thinking of doing so this trip. Where is it exactly? You seriously like it more than Flame Tree?
Our favorites are:
MK - Columbia Harbour House or Cosmic Ray's (Peco's Bill's is good too, but we were disappointed last time)
Ep - Tangierine Cafe or Yorkshire County Fish Shop (or salad at Sunshine Seasons)
AK - Flame Tree BBQ
DHS - We got a nice Buffalo Chicken Sandwich from Studio Catering Company last trip, and we like Starring Rolls, but the selection is limited, and it doesn't feel like as great a value as the other places mentioned for some reason I can't put my finger on...the desserts are amazing there, though, if you're about dessert.
Both places are similar in that they have chicken and ribs, but FF had brisket as well and you could get two meats (ribs, chicken or ribs, brisket) and two sides as opposed to one side and a bread. It's mostly the portion size that's the difference, quality and taste are identical as far as I'm concerned.
Believe it or not, we had really good salads at Pizza Planet at HS. As a rule, we try not to eat there because the food choices aren't very good, but the salads had chicken in them and were really good. My son had a meatball sub there too and said it was good.
MK - Columbia Harbour House
Epcot - Sunshine Seasons & Tangierine Cafe
AK - Flame Tree BBQ
DHS - Starring Rolls. The kids would probably enjoy Pizza Planet, too. I know my son does.
Magic Kingdom- Cosmic Ray's (they have a lot of variety with the different stations and I have always found the food to be good)
Epcot- anywhere in World Showcase!
Animal Kingdom- Flame Tree BBQ (it's a great change from the standard burgers and fries and the seating area by the lake is beautiful)
Hollywood Studios- there aren't many good places there imo
